SOFTLY AND TENDERLY JESUS IS CALLING!

KEY VERSE

DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE

The gentle call of Jesus is one of mercy, patience, and love.

He does not drive us with harshness, but He woos us with compassion.

His call is soft, because He respects our free will; and tender, because His heart longs to save us.

Sadly, many ignore this call because they are distracted by the noise of the world.

But His invitation remains:

“Come home, sinner; 

Come home, wanderer; 

Come home, weary soul.”

The danger is not in rejecting His voice with loud rebellion, but in delaying until it is too late.

Today, while you still hear His tender call, respond!

ILLUSTRATIONS

A farmer once rang the dinner bell every evening to gather his sheep.

Most of them ran to him quickly, knowing food awaited. But a stubborn sheep always lingered, distracted by the grass.

One night, as wolves prowled, the bell rang, but that sheep hesitated too long and was snatched away.

Jesus calls daily, through:

His Word, 

The Spirit, 

Your circumstances.

Delay can be dangerous.

His call is not forever, it is for today.

A mother stood at her door, calling her lost child home.

She did not shout in anger but pleaded softly, with tears. Though the child had wandered far, the sound of the mother’s tender voice stirred his heart, and he returned.

So Jesus calls us, not with condemnation, but with love:

“Return, O backslider. 

Return, O weary soul.”

CALL TO REPENTANCE

Have you been ignoring the tender voice of Jesus?

Maybe you hear Him calling you away from sin, from compromise, from lukewarmness, but you delay.

Do not harden your heart.

His arms are open wide today.

PRAYER OF REPENTANCE

Lord Jesus,

I hear Your tender call today. 

Forgive me for the times I ignored Your voice. 

I repent of my sins and turn fully to You. 

Wash me in Your precious blood, and draw me close to You. 

I surrender my heart and my will to You. 

From today, I choose to follow You faithfully.

Take 15 minutes today in silence.

Shut out distractions.

Ask God:

“What are You calling me to surrender?”

Write it down and act on it immediately.

DEEP REFLECTION

Jesus does not force Himself on anyone.

His call is tender, but His patience will not last forever.

Eternity depends on whether we say “Yes” to His call today.

What excuse have you been giving Him?

THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS AT HAND! 

KEY VERSE

“From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” – Matthew 4:17 (KJV)

DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE

The message of Jesus was simple but urgent:

“Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.”

This was not a distant promise, but a present reality breaking into human history. Through Christ, God’s reign, authority, and power are here and now.

The Kingdom of Heaven is not merely about a future heaven, but about God’s rule being established in the hearts of men on earth. Wherever God’s will is done, His Kingdom is manifested. Yet, entering this Kingdom requires repentance, surrender, and obedience.

Sadly, many are living as if the Kingdom is far away, pursuing the pleasures of the world while ignoring eternity. But Christ is calling us today to awaken, to turn from sin, embrace righteousness, and live as Kingdom citizens who reflect His light.

ILLUSTRATION 

A great king once planned to visit one of his villages.

The people had heard of his coming for months but kept delaying their preparation. Some continued with their quarrels, others neglected to clean their houses, and many ignored the herald’s announcement.

On the morning the king arrived, only a few who believed and prepared were ready to receive him with joy. The rest were caught unprepared, ashamed, and excluded from the king’s blessing.

So it will be with the coming of Christ. Those who repent and live ready will rejoice, but those who delay will face regret.

CALL TO REPENTANCE

Beloved, are you living with eternity in view?

Have you truly surrendered to Christ, or are you still delaying?

The Kingdom of Heaven is nearer than you think.

Do not postpone repentance, now is the day of salvation.

PRAYER OF REPENTANCE

Heavenly Father,

I confess that I have lived carelessly, often distracted by the things of this world. 

Forgive me for every sin, every delay, and every disobedience. 

Lord Jesus, I repent and turn my heart to You fully. 

Rule in my life as King, and help me to live daily as a true citizen of Your Kingdom.

The Kingdom of Heaven is not just about entering heaven when we die, it is about living under God’s authority right now.

To live as Kingdom citizens means reflecting Christ in how we speak, love, forgive, serve, and worship.

Ask yourself:

• Am I living with eternity in view?

• Am I seeking God’s Kingdom first or my own ambitions?

• Am I bringing others into the Kingdom through my words and lifestyle?

I declare that I am a citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven.

I renounce every sin and every worldly distraction.

Jesus is my King, and His Kingdom rules in my heart.

WHEN THE ROLL IS CALLED UP YONDER!

KEY VERSE

“And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” – Revelation 20:15 (KJV)

DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE

One day, the trumpet will sound, and time will be no more.

The books will be opened, and the roll will be called in eternity.

On that day, wealth, titles, and earthly achievements will not matter.

Only one thing will count:

Is your name written in the Lamb’s Book of Life?

Living with eternity in mind keeps us alert, holy, and faithful.

Life is a vapor (James 4:14), here today and gone tomorrow.

The question is not if the roll will be called, but whether we will answer, present and accepted before the throne of God.

ILLUSTRATION 

In a small village, a teacher called the roll every morning in class.

Children eagerly answered

“Present, Ma!”

But one day, a child who had fallen ill the night before could not respond. The silence broke the teacher’s heart.

Beloved, a greater roll call awaits.

When your name is called in eternity, will heaven echo with “Present!” because you are safe in Christ, or will silence fall because your name is missing from the Book of Life?

CALL TO REPENTANCE

The roll call in heaven is certain.

Today is the day of salvation.

Do not gamble with eternity, repent, turn to Jesus, and secure your place in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

PRAYER OF REPENTANCE

Heavenly Father,

I acknowledge that I am a sinner and cannot save myself. 

I repent of my sins and believe that Jesus Christ died for me and rose again for my salvation. 

Lord Jesus, come into my heart, write my name in the Book of Life, and help me to live for You until that glorious roll call.

IT IS APPOINTED FOR A MAN TO DIE ONCE!

KEY VERSE 

“And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment.” – Hebrews 9:27 (ESV)

DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE

Life is fleeting.

No matter how wealthy, educated, or powerful a person becomes, death is an appointment every soul must keep.

We may not know the day or the hour, but the truth remains:

death is certain, and judgment follows!

This reality should stir us to live purposefully and to prepare our souls for eternity.

Many live as though life will continue forever, but eternity is only a breath away.

The question is not if you will die, but when, and more importantly,

where will you spend eternity?

Christ came to give us victory over the fear of death. Those who trust in Him pass from death to life, not facing condemnation but eternal joy.

ILLUSTRATION 

A wealthy man once filled his mansion with treasures but neglected his soul.

He told his friends,

“I have years ahead to enjoy my life!”

That very night, he died suddenly, leaving behind all his wealth. His earthly treasures could not buy him another breath, nor save his soul.

This echoes the words of Jesus:

“What shall it profit a man, to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?” (Mark 8:36).

CALL TO REPENTANCE

Beloved, death is certain, but eternity with Christ is a choice.

Have you truly given your life to Jesus?

If you died today, are you sure where you would spend eternity?

This is the moment to repent and be reconciled with God before it is too late.

Heavenly Father,

I recognize that my life is short, and death is certain. 

Forgive me for living as though this world is all that matters. 

Today, I repent of my sins and confess Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.

DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE

Every day, whether you realize it or not, there is a battle going on for your soul.

Heaven fights to draw you closer to the heart of God, while the enemy of your soul fights to pull you into sin, distraction, and destruction.

This battle is not fought with physical weapons but with choices:

Whom you will serve,

What you believe,

What you feed your mind, and

Where you anchor your hope.

The devil tempts with lies, pleasures, and shortcuts, but God calls with truth, righteousness, and eternal life.

Victory comes not through your own strength but by surrendering to Christ, clothing yourself in His armor, and walking daily in His Word.

ILLUSTRATION 

A farmer had two dogs that often fought:

One black,

One white.

A neighbor asked,

“Which dog usually wins?”

The farmer replied,

“The one I feed the most.”

So it is with your soul.

If you constantly feed your flesh with sin, doubt, and worldly distractions, the enemy gains ground.

But if you feed your spirit with prayer, Scripture, and obedience to God, your soul grows strong, and you walk in victory.

CALL TO REPENTANCE

The truth is, neutrality is not an option.

If you are not actively pursuing God, you are drifting toward the enemy’s camp.

Repent today!

Surrender fully to Jesus, the only One who can save your soul and give you eternal victory.

PRAYER OF REPENTANCE

Heavenly Father,

I recognize that my soul has been in a battle, and at times, I have fed the wrong desires.

Forgive me for the sins that separate me from You.

I repent today and surrender my heart, mind, and soul to You.

Lord Jesus, wash me in Your blood, renew my spirit, and make me strong in You.

From today, I choose life, I choose truth, I choose Christ.

Take a fast from something that feeds your flesh (e.g., social media, gossip, unhealthy habits).

Replace that time with prayer and the Word.

Feed your soul with what gives life.

• What are the daily influences that are winning the battle over your soul, music, relationships, habits, or secret sins?

• If Christ were to return today, whose side would your soul be standing on?

• What steps can you take immediately to shift your spiritual feeding from flesh to spirit?

CLOSING DECLARATION

Today, I declare that my soul belongs to Jesus Christ.

The battle has been won by His blood, and I walk in victory.

I reject the lies of the enemy, I silence the voice of doubt, and I submit to the Spirit of God.

My soul will not be lost, it is anchored in Christ, both now and for eternity.

DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE

The Book of Life is not a metaphor; it is a real record in heaven that contains the names of those who belong to Jesus Christ. Earthly success, wealth, titles, or recognition cannot guarantee eternal life.

What truly matters is whether your name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life (Revelation 21:27).

Your name is not written there because of church attendance, morality, or good deeds, but because of genuine faith in Jesus Christ, repentance from sin, and a surrendered life to Him.

When you receive Christ, heaven records your name. When you reject Him, you risk eternal separation.

This is the greatest question of all time:

Is your name written in the Book of Life?

ILLUSTRATION 

Imagine traveling to a foreign country where you must present your passport at immigration.

Without your name on the official list of approved travelers, entry is impossible, no matter how much you plead.

Similarly, on Judgment Day, human excuses, religious labels, or earthly status will not matter.

The only thing that counts is whether your name is in the Book of Life.

Christ Himself is the passport, and His blood is the seal.

CALL TO REPENTANCE

Have you been living as though heaven does not matter?

Have you trusted in religion, works, or self-righteousness instead of Christ alone?

Today, God calls you to repentance.

Eternity is too long to gamble with.

Surrender your life to Jesus now.

PRAYER OF REPENTANCE

Lord Jesus,

I confess that I have sinned and lived my life without You at the center. 

I repent of my sins and turn away from everything that separates me from You. 

Wash me with Your blood, forgive me, and write my name in the Book of Life.

DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE

Life on earth is temporary, but eternity is forever.

Many live as if this world is the final stop, chasing wealth, fame, and pleasure, forgetting that death is not the end but a doorway into eternity.

Many live as though this world is their final home, forgetting that every choice we make has eternal consequences.

The reality is this: every person will spend eternity in one of two places:

Eternal life with God, or

Eternal separation from Him.

Eternity is not a distant concept; it begins the moment this life ends.

The question is not if you will face eternity, but where you will spend it, eternal life with Christ, or eternal separation in condemnation.

To live with eternity in view means to order your daily choices, values, and priorities with heaven in mind. It means living holy, walking in obedience, forgiving quickly, loving deeply, and serving faithfully, because one day we will all stand before the Judge of all the earth.

When eternity is in view, your choices, actions, and priorities will align with God’s will.

You will live not just for now, but with heaven in mind.

ILLUSTRATIONS 

A man once spent months preparing for a two-week vacation.

He bought clothes, booked hotels, and saved money. But he invested almost nothing in planning for his retirement, which would last decades.

Sadly, many of us live this way spiritually.

We spend all our energy on the temporary journey of life and forget the eternal destination that never ends.

True wisdom prepares not just for tomorrow but for forever.

A traveler boarded a train heading to a distant city.

On the journey, he became so fascinated with the scenery outside the window, mountains, rivers, and bustling towns, that he forgot the very reason he was traveling. When the train arrived, he had no luggage prepared, no address, no readiness to enter the city.

So it is with many today, they enjoy the journey of life but neglect to prepare for their final destination: ETERNITY.

CALL TO REPENTANCE

Beloved, are you living with eternity in view?

Or have you been consumed by the temporary pleasures of this world?

Remember: the pleasures of sin last only for a season, but eternity lasts forever. 

Are you living for temporary pleasures while neglecting your eternal soul?

Have you been too distracted by earthly pursuits that you’ve forgotten eternity?

Today, God calls you to repent and refocus on what truly matters.

Choose Christ today.

PRAYER OF REPENTANCE

Heavenly Father,

I acknowledge that I have been distracted by the cares of this world and have not lived daily with eternity in view.

Forgive me for every sin, for wasted opportunities, and for living for myself instead of You.

Today, I turn to Jesus Christ as my Savior and Lord.

I surrender my life and eternity into Your hands.

Prepare me for that glorious day when I will stand before You.

Ask yourself:

“If eternity began for me today, am I ready to meet the Lord?”

Write down one lifestyle change you need to make to align more with eternity.

DEEP REFLECTION

Eternity does not begin after death, it begins the moment you receive Christ and live in His light.

Every choice you make is either building for you an eternal reward or leading you away from God’s presence.

What will matter in eternity is not your possessions, status, or titles, but your relationship with Jesus and how you lived for Him.

CLOSING DECLARATION

I am a pilgrim on this earth, but heaven is my home.

I choose to live with eternity in view.

My life will glorify God, my choices will honor Him, and my soul will be ready to meet Jesus.

By His grace, my eternity is secure in Christ.

To know Christ is not just intellectual knowledge, it is a deep, personal, experiential relationship with Him.

Paul, despite his vast knowledge of the law, counted everything as loss compared to knowing Christ intimately.

Knowing Him means more than just hearing about Him on Sundays. It means walking daily with Him, understanding His heart, experiencing His power, and aligning our will with His.

True knowledge of Christ comes through relationship, not religion.

When you know Him:

• You experience the power of His resurrection – victory over sin, fear, and death.

• You share in the fellowship of His sufferings – standing firm in faith, even in trials.

• You are transformed into His likeness – living a holy and surrendered life.

ILLUSTRATION 

A young prince once lived in a kingdom where everyone talked about the king’s wisdom and kindness. The prince heard countless stories, read books about the king, and even saw portraits of him. But he had never spent personal time with the king.

One day, the king invited him into the palace. As the prince sat and spoke with his father, he realized: “All I’ve heard before was true, but now I truly know him for myself.”

Many people know about Jesus, but few actually know Him personally.

True intimacy with Christ goes beyond church attendance, it requires:

Seeking Him daily 

Spending time in prayer 

Reading His Word, and 

Obeying His voice.

CALL TO REPENTANCE

Have you been satisfied with just knowing about Christ without knowing Him personally?

Have you replaced intimacy with routine, or substituted relationship with religious activities?

Today, Christ is inviting you closer.

PRAYER OF REPENTANCE

Heavenly Father,

Forgive me for the times I have been content with surface-level faith. 

I repent for chasing after other things more than seeking You. 

Lord Jesus, I desire to know You more deeply, to walk with You, hear Your voice, and live in Your presence daily. 

Draw me closer to You and transform me into Your likeness.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

REFLECTION SCRIPTURES

• John 17:3 – This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

• Jeremiah 9:23-24 – Let him who boasts boast in this: that he understands and knows Me.

TODAY’S CHALLENGE 

Set aside at least 30 minutes today to seek God in personal prayer and Bible study, not asking Him for anything, but simply to know Him more.

Today, I choose to pursue intimacy with Jesus above all else.

I desire to know Him, love Him, and walk with Him daily.

His resurrection power is at work in me, His Spirit dwells in me, and His love surrounds me.

ALL POWER BELONGS TO JESUS

KEY VERSE 

"And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth." – Matthew 28:18 (KJV)

DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE

The world is filled with displays of power, political authority, military might, financial influence, and technological advancement. Yet, all these powers are limited, temporary, and dependent.

There is only One whose power is absolute, eternal, and without rival,

Jesus Christ.

When Jesus rose from the dead, He declared that all power in heaven and on earth had been given to Him.

This means nothing happens without His permission:

Demons tremble at His name. 

Nature obeys His voice. 

Diseases vanish at His command. 

Death itself bows before Him.

As believers, we must remember that our security, victory, and hope are not in governments, wealth, or personal strength but in Christ’s supreme authority.

When you face battles too big for you, remember, the One who loves you holds all power in His hands.

ILLUSTRATION 

In a small village, a fierce storm threatened to sweep away homes.

While everyone panicked, a little child played joyfully. When asked why she wasn’t afraid, she replied,

“My father is the chief of the village and the strongest man here. If he’s here, I’m safe.”

That’s the confidence we should have in Jesus.

If the One who holds all power is with you, no storm can destroy you.

CALL TO REPENTANCE 

Have you been trusting in your own strength, connections, or resources instead of Jesus’ power?

Have you feared situations as if Christ is powerless?

Turn back today, place your faith fully in the One whose power is unmatched.

PRAYER OF REPENTANCE

Lord Jesus,

I confess that I have sometimes relied on my own strength and doubted Your power. 

Forgive me for not fully trusting in Your authority over my life. 

Today, I surrender every fear, worry, and challenge into Your hands. 

Rule over my heart and circumstances, for all power belongs to You.

In Your mighty name, I pray. Amen.

LET THY WILL BE DONE

DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE

Saying “Let Thy will be done” is not just a religious phrase, it is a posture of the heart. It means that we trust God’s plan more than our own ideas, timing, or desires.

Jesus Himself modeled this in Gethsemane when He prayed:

“Nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done” – Luke 22:42 

Even in the face of the cross, He surrendered fully to the Father’s plan.

We often fear God’s will because it may seem to lead us into uncertainty or discomfort. But God’s will is always perfect, good, and aligned with His love for us (Romans 12:2). When we let His will take over, we open the door for His peace, guidance, and power to work in us.

ILLUSTRATION 

A child once wanted to build a tower with toy blocks. She stacked them high, but they kept falling.

Her father watched patiently and then offered to help. The little girl refused, saying, “I can do it!”

After several failed attempts, she finally sighed and handed the blocks to her father.

In minutes, he built a beautiful and stable tower.

Many times, we are like that child, trying to build life on our own terms, failing repeatedly, yet reluctant to let God take control.

When we finally say “Lord, let Your will be done,” He builds something stronger, better, and more beautiful than we ever could.

CALL TO REPENTANCE

Have you been insisting on your own way instead of surrendering to God’s plan?

Have you been frustrated with His timing or resisting His leading?

Today, lay your desires, plans, and fears before Him and pray,

“Lord, not my will, but Yours be done.”

PRAYER OF REPENTANCE

Heavenly Father,

I confess that I have sometimes trusted my own will above Yours. 

Forgive me for the times I have resisted Your direction and tried to take control. 

Today, I surrender my plans, ambitions, and desires to You. 

I believe Your will for me is good, perfect, and loving. 

Take charge, Lord, and let my life align with Your purpose.

Think of one situation where you are struggling to trust God’s will.

Write a prayer of surrender about it and speak it out loud, giving it completely to Him.

Today, I release my grip on my own plans and surrender to God’s perfect will.

His ways are higher than my ways, His timing is better than my timing, and His plans are better than my dreams.

I will walk in His purpose with peace and trust.

CREATE IN ME A NEW HEART

KEY VERSE 

“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” – Psalm 51:10 (KJV)

DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE

The heart is the control center of our thoughts, desires, and actions. When it is corrupted by sin, it affects every part of our lives, our words, decisions, and relationships. King David, after his moral failure, didn’t just ask God for forgiveness, he asked for a new heart and a renewed spirit. He knew that without inner transformation, he would easily fall back into old patterns.

A “new heart” means God doesn’t just patch up the old one; He transforms it entirely. It is a work of the Holy Spirit that purifies, redirects, and softens us toward God and others.

ILLUSTRATION 

A man had an old, rusted water pipe in his house. No matter how much he cleaned the water tank, the water still came out dirty.

Eventually, he realized the problem wasn’t the source, it was the pipe. He had to replace it entirely for clean water to flow.

Likewise, many of us want to “clean up” our lives without addressing the real issue: the condition of our hearts. Only God can replace our heart of stone with a heart of flesh (Ezekiel 36:26).

CALL TO REPENTANCE

Are there attitudes, habits, or secret sins that have hardened your heart toward God?

Today, admit your need for a new heart.

Confess the hidden stains, and allow the Holy Spirit to do His transforming work.

PRAYER OF REPENTANCE

Heavenly Father,

I acknowledge that my heart has been tainted by sin, pride, and selfishness. 

I cannot change myself by my own strength. 

Forgive me, Lord, for every thought, action, and word that has displeased You. 

Remove my heart of stone and give me a heart that beats with love, purity, and obedience to You. 

Renew a steadfast spirit within me, and make me wholly Yours.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

My thoughts will be pure, my motives will be clean, and my desires will align with God’s will.

I receive a new heart and a right spirit.

From this day forward, my life will reflect His holiness.
