HOW CAN WE CLAIM THAT WE LOVE GOD?

DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE

The claim to love God is one of the most powerful confessions a believer can make.

Yet Scripture confronts us with a sobering test:

Love for God is validated by love in action, towards people, truth, and obedience.

Christianity is not merely a verbal declaration; it is a transformed life.

Loving God is not proven by church attendance, eloquent prayers, or spiritual language alone.

Jesus clearly taught that love for God is demonstrated through:

• Obedience (John 14:15); 
• Compassion (Luke 10:33–35); 
• Forgiveness (Matthew 18:21–22); and 
• Sacrificial living (Romans 12:1).

To claim love for God while walking in bitterness, injustice, hypocrisy, or disobedience is self-deception.

DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE

To “shut up the heart” is to close the inner door of compassion, seeing need yet choosing indifference.
