MY LITTLE CHILDREN!

THE WORDS OF TRUTH DAILY DEVOTIONAL
Dec 31st, 2025

𝕋𝕀𝕋𝕃𝔼:
MY LITTLE CHILDREN!

KEY VERSE

My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.”1 John 3:18 (KJV)

DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE

The tender address “My little children” reveals the heart of God, a Father speaking with affection, authority, and responsibility.

Apostle John is not merely addressing age; he is addressing relationship, maturity, and accountability.

This phrase reflects spiritual parenthood and covenant love.

In 1 John 3:18, love is not reduced to emotional expression, eloquent speech, or religious slogans.

True Christian love is practical, sacrificial, visible, and rooted in truth.

God’s love was not theoretical, He gave His Son.

Likewise, believers are called to demonstrate love through actions that align with God’s truth, even when inconvenient.

This verse confronts hypocrisy, shallow Christianity, and performative spirituality.

It calls believers to a living faithwhere words are validated by deeds, and confession is proven by obedience.

BIBLICAL OBJECTIVES OF THIS DEVOTIONAL

  1. To reveal God’s Fatherly heart behind the phrase “My little children”.

  2. To restore love as a lifestyle, not a slogan.

  3. To align Christian conduct with biblical truth.

  4. To expose the danger of verbal Christianity without action.

  5. To cultivate genuine compassion in believers.

  6. To develop spiritual maturity through obedience.

  7. To call believers into responsible kingdom living.

  8. To promote integrity between faith and works.

  9. To prepare hearts for eternal accountability.

  10. To stir revival through love expressed in truth and power.

HYMN

Love Divine, All Loves Excelling
Charles Wesley (1747)

A hymn that reflects God’s perfect love transforming human hearts into active vessels of grace.

1. Love divine, all loves excelling,
Joy of Heav'n to Earth come down,
Fix in us thy humble dwelling,
All thy faithful mercies crown;
Jesus, thou art all compassion,
Pure, unbounded love thou art;
Visit us with thy salvation,
Enter ev'ry trembling heart.

2. Breathe, O breathe thy loving Spirit
Into ev'ry troubled breast;
Let us all in thee inherit,
Let us find thy promised rest;
Take away our love of sinning;
Alpha and Omega be;
End of faith as its beginning,
Set our hearts at liberty.

3. Come, Almighty to deliver;
Let us all thy grace receive;
Suddenly return, and never,
Never more thy temples leave.
Thee we would be always blessing,
Serve thee as thy host above,
Pray, and praise thee without ceasing,
Glory in thy perfect love.

4. Finish, then, thy new creation;
Pure and spotless let us be;
Let us see thy great salvation
Perfectly restored in thee;
Changed from glory into glory
Till in Heav'n we take our place,
Till we cast our crowns before thee,
Lost in wonder, love, and praise!
