ANCHOR SCRIPTURE
"Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward." - 2 John 1:8 (KJV)
KEY VERSE
"Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown." - Revelation 3:11 (KJV)
DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE
God is deeply interested not only in how we begin our spiritual journey but also in how faithfully we finish it. Many people start with passion, commitment, and zeal, but the true test of faith is remaining steadfast until the end.
The Apostle John warned believers in 2 John 1:8 to examine themselves carefully so that the labour, sacrifices, obedience, and spiritual investments they have made will not become wasted. The purpose is not merely to receive a reward, but to receive a full reward.
A full reward speaks of God's complete approval, divine recognition, eternal honour, and the fulfilment of His promises. It means that our walk with God must not be corrupted by compromise, deception, distractions, bitterness, worldly desires, or spiritual negligence.
The enemy often does not need to stop a person from starting; he only needs to weaken their consistency until they abandon what they once valued. Many lose rewards because they become careless with their relationship with God.
God is calling His children today to:
- guard their salvation,
- preserve their faith,
- maintain their devotion,
- protect their spiritual labour,
- and remain faithful until the end.
Your prayers, sacrifices, obedience, service, and acts of righteousness before God are not forgotten. Heaven keeps records. The Lord rewards those who diligently continue with Him.

Washington Gladden (1879)
Theme: A prayer for faithful daily walking with God, spiritual growth, and perseverance.

In lowly paths of service free;
Tell me thy secret; help me bear
The strain of toil, the fret of care.

- faithful service.
Do not stop when you are close to your breakthrough.
DEEP REFLECTION
Am I protecting the spiritual investment I have made?
Have I allowed anything to reduce my hunger for God?
Will my present choices lead me toward a full reward or a lost opportunity?
WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT
Beloved, your labour before God is not forgotten. Every prayer, sacrifice, obedience, and act of faithfulness is recorded in heaven.
