THE WORDS OF TRUTH DAILY DEVOTIONAL
Oct 9th, 2025
𝕋𝕀𝕋𝕃𝔼:
BELOVED, YOU KNOW ALL THINGS!
KEY VERSE
“But you have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.” – 1 John 2:20 (KJV)
DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE
The phrase “Beloved, you know all things” is not a boast of human wisdom but a revelation of divine enablement.
It means that every believer who has received the Holy Spirit has access to the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16).
The Spirit within us teaches, reveals, guides, warns, and empowers us to discern truth from falsehood.
In a world overflowing with information but starving for truth, God has equipped His beloved with divine insight through His Spirit and His Word.
The “knowing” spoken of here is not mere intellectual understanding, it is spiritual perception, born of intimacy with God.
When the Word of God dwells richly in you and you yield daily to the Holy Spirit, you walk in divine wisdom that surpasses human logic.
You begin to know what to say, where to go, what to do, and what to avoid.
This knowledge anchors you, strengthens your faith, and preserves you from deception.
CHARACTERISTICS OF THOSE WHO KNOW ALL THINGS (THROUGH THE SPIRIT)
- Spirit-Led Discernment – John 16:13: The Spirit of truth guides into all truth.
- Intimate Relationship with God – 1 Corinthians 2:10: The Spirit searches the deep things of God.
- Wisdom Above the World’s Wisdom – James 3:17: Divine wisdom is pure, peaceable, and full of mercy.
- Peaceful Confidence – Isaiah 26:3: Those who trust in God have perfect peace.
- Victory Over Deception – 1 John 4:4: Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.
- Boldness in Truth – Proverbs 28:1: The righteous are bold as a lion.
- Fruitfulness in Every Good Work – Colossians 1:9-10: Filled with knowledge of His will in all wisdom and understanding.
ILLUSTRATIONS
1. The Shepherd’s Whisper
A shepherd leads his sheep through a valley covered in thick fog.
The sheep cannot see the path, but they follow the familiar voice of their shepherd, step by step, until they reach safety.
Lesson: Those who know God’s voice need not see the entire road; they only need to listen and follow.
When you know the Shepherd, confusion disappears, and direction becomes clear.
2. The Coded Letter
A father sends a letter to his son, but it’s written in code.
Outsiders can’t understand it, but the son, having spent time with his father and knowing his ways, easily deciphers it.
Lesson: Spiritual knowledge is hidden from the world but revealed to those who dwell in intimacy with the Father.
The more you walk with God, the clearer His mysteries become to you.
CALL TO REPENTANCE
Have you been living as though you are powerless or confused?
Have you ignored the Holy Spirit who desires to teach and lead you into all truth?
Turn away from spiritual negligence and unbelief.
The Spirit of Truth already abides within you, yield and listen!
DEEP REPENTANCE
Take a moment in stillness before God.
Acknowledge where you have relied on your own understanding, sought human approval above divine guidance, or doubted His voice.
Cry out:
Lord, open my ears again to Your truth. Restore my sensitivity to Your Spirit!
PRAYER OF REPENTANCE
Heavenly Father,
I confess that I have sometimes walked in confusion and fear instead of trusting in the guidance of Your Spirit.
Forgive me for neglecting Your Word and doubting Your voice.
Cleanse my heart and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Holy Spirit, fill me afresh with divine wisdom and understanding.
From this day forward, help me to walk in Your truth, discernment, and revelation.
In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

HYMN
Be Thou My Vision
Ancient Irish Hymn, translated by Mary E. Byrne (1905)
1. Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art;
Thou my best Thought, by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.
2. Be thou my wisdom, and thou my true Word;
I ever with thee and thou with me, Lord.
Thou my great Father, I thy dear child;
Thou in me dwelling, with thee reconciled.
3. Be thou my breastplate, my sword for the fight;
Be thou my dignity, thou my delight.
Thou my soul's shelter, thou my high tow'r;
Raise thou me Heav'nward, O Pow'r of my pow'r.
4. Riches I heed not, nor vain, empty praise;
Thou mine inheritance, now and always.
Thou and thou only, first in my heart,
High King of Heaven, my treasure thou art.
5. High King of Heaven, my victory won,
May I reach Heaven's joys, O bright Heav'ns Sun!
Heart of my heart, whatever befall,
Still be my vision, O Ruler of all.
TODAY’S CHALLENGE
Spend quality time today in silence and prayer, asking the Holy Spirit to reveal one area where you need divine insight.
Write down what He says through Scripture or inner conviction, and obey it immediately.
DEEP REFLECTION
The true mark of spiritual maturity is not how much Scripture you can quote but how much of God’s Word is alive within you.
You carry divine intelligence within you, don’t live like one who is ignorant of heaven’s resources.
Listen more, yield more, and the Spirit of Truth will unfold mysteries to you.
CLOSING DECLARATION
The Word of God abides in me, and the Spirit of Truth lives within me.
I am not confused or blind; I walk in divine knowledge and understanding.
My steps are ordered by the Lord, my heart is full of light, and my mind is renewed by truth.
I know all things that pertain to life and godliness through the anointing of the Holy One.
Amen!
