𝕋𝕀𝕋𝕃𝔼:
WHOEVER KEEPS HIS WORD!

KEY VERSE

“But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.”1 John 2:5 (NKJV)

DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE

To keep God’s word is more than simply reading or quoting Scripture, it means treasuring, obeying, and living by it daily.

When we hold tightly to His Word, it shapes our thoughts, purifies our hearts, and aligns our lives with His will.

The true evidence of loving God is not just in emotions or words but in our obedience (John 14:23).

Keeping His Word builds spiritual stamina, guards us against sin, and invites His favor.

The world may offer distractions and easy shortcuts, but the believer who clings to the Word will stand firm, fruitful, and full of light.

CHARACTERISTICS OF ONE WHO KEEPS GOD’S WORD

  1. Love for God’s Commands – “I delight to do Your will, O my God, and Your law is within my heart.” (Psalm 40:8)

  2. Obedient Lifestyle – “Be doers of the word, and not hearers only.” (James 1:22)

  3. Integrity & Holiness – “Blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the LORD.” (Psalm 119:1)

  4. Faithful Under Pressure – “Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You.” (Psalm 119:11)

  5. Bearing Fruit – “Blessed is the man… whose delight is in the law of the LORD… He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water.” (Psalm 1:1-3)

  6. Closeness to God – “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word, and My Father will love him, and We will come to him.” (John 14:23)

  7. Enduring Faith – “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.” (Matthew 24:35)

HYMN

How Firm a Foundation
~ R. Keen; K.; George Keith (1787)

1. How firm a foundation, ye saints of the Lord,
is laid for your faith in God's excellent Word!
What more can be said than to you God hath said,
to you who for refuge to Jesus have fled?

2. "Fear not, I am with thee, O be not dismayed,
for I am thy God, and will still give thee aid;
I'll strengthen thee, help thee, and cause thee to stand,
upheld by my righteous, omnipotent hand.

3. "When through the deep waters I call thee to go,
the rivers of sorrow shall not overflow;
for I will be near thee, thy troubles to bless,
and sanctify to thee thy deepest distress.

4. "When through fiery trials thy pathway shall lie,
my grace, all sufficient, shall be thy supply;
the flame shall not hurt thee; I only design
thy dross to consume, and thy gold to refine.

5. "The soul that on Jesus hath leaned for repose,
I will not, I will not desert to its foes;
that soul, though all hell should endeavor to shake,
I'll never, no, never, no, never forsake."

TODAY’S CHALLENGE

Set aside at least 20 minutes today to read and meditate on a portion of Scripture.

Write down one instruction you find and act on it before the day ends.

DEEP REFLECTION

Keeping God’s Word is not a burden but a pathway to freedom and intimacy with Him.

To love the Word is to love the God who speaks through it.

What changes do you need to make so His Word becomes your daily treasure?

CLOSING DECLARATION

I am a keeper of God’s Word!
