𝕋𝕀𝕋𝕃𝔼:
A LIFE UNITED BY THE TRUTH OF CHRIST
ANCHOR SCRIPTURE
“The elder, unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth.” — 2 John 1:1 (KJV)
DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE
The Apostle John wrote this powerful letter to encourage believers to remain steadfast in the truth of God. His words reveal that true Christian fellowship is not built merely on emotions, traditions, tribe, status, or earthly relationships, but upon the unchanging truth of Jesus Christ.
When John said, “not I only, but also all they that have known the truth,” he revealed a deep spiritual reality: everyone who genuinely knows Christ is connected by divine truth. The truth creates unity, love, holiness, obedience, and spiritual fellowship among believers.
Today, many claim to know God, yet reject His truth. Some prefer convenience over conviction, popularity over righteousness, and compromise over holiness. However, genuine believers are identified by their love for truth, obedience to God’s Word, and steadfastness in righteousness.
Truth is not merely information; truth is a person; Jesus Christ. The Lord said:
“I am the way, the truth, and the life...” — John 14:6
To know the truth means:
- to know Christ personally,
- to walk in obedience,
- to reject falsehood,
- to stand for righteousness,
- and to remain faithful until the end.
The world may celebrate deception, but heaven honors those who walk in truth. A believer who truly knows the truth will love God sincerely, forgive others, pursue holiness, speak honestly, and remain faithful even during persecution.
John’s statement also teaches that truth creates godly love among believers. Real Christian love is not based on selfish gain but on shared commitment to Christ. The family of God is united by truth, purified by truth, and preserved by truth.
In these last days, many voices compete for attention. False doctrines, worldly ideologies, sinful pleasures, and spiritual distractions seek to pull believers away from Christ. Yet those who know the truth must remain grounded in Scripture and led by the Holy Spirit.
Do you truly know the truth, or do you merely know about religion? Have you surrendered fully to Christ? Are you walking daily in obedience to God’s Word?
The greatest testimony is not merely attending church, but living daily in the truth of God.

CALL TO REPENTANCE
Beloved, God is calling His people back to truth, holiness, and obedience. Many have embraced compromise, hidden sins, deception, pride, bitterness, and worldly pleasures. Today, the Lord calls you to return wholeheartedly to Him.
Do not harden your heart. The truth you ignore today may become the regret of eternity tomorrow.
DEEP REPENTANCE
Search your heart sincerely before God:
- Have you compromised your faith?
- Have you knowingly lived in disobedience?
- Have you rejected correction?
- Have you loved the world more than Christ?
- Have you pretended spiritually while living carnally?
God’s mercy is still available for all who genuinely repent.
PRAYER OF REPENTANCE

I come before You in humility and brokenness. Forgive me for every sin, compromise, deception, and disobedience in my life. Wash me by the blood of Jesus Christ. Remove every spirit of pride, hypocrisy, rebellion, and worldliness from my heart. Teach me to walk in truth, holiness, and obedience. Fill me with the Holy Spirit and help me remain faithful until the end. Let my life reflect Your truth daily. Thank You for Your mercy and forgiveness.
In Jesus Christ’s name, Amen.

John H. Sammis, Daniel B. Towner
Message
This hymn teaches believers that true joy and fellowship with God come through trusting and obeying Him completely.
When we walk with the Lord
In the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will,
He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.Refrain:
Trust and obey,
for there's no other way
to be happy in Jesus,
but to trust and obey.
