𝕋𝕀𝕋𝕃𝔼:
THE UNITY OF THE GODHEAD: THESE THREE ARE ONE!
KEY VERSE
"For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one." - 1 John 5:7 (KJV)
DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE
The mystery of the Godhead reveals one of the deepest truths of Scripture: God is One, yet revealed in three distinct persons: the Father, the Son (the Word), and the Holy Spirit. This is not division but perfect unity.
- The Father is the source: the planner of redemption.
- The Son (Jesus Christ) is the expression: the executor of salvation.
- The Holy Spirit is the presence: the applicator of God's power in believers.
“These three are one” speaks of:
- Unity in essence (same divine nature)
- Unity in purpose (same will)
- Unity in operation (working together in perfect harmony)
This unity is not just theological, it is relational and transformational. As believers, we are invited into this divine fellowship (John 17:21), meaning:
- Our lives must reflect unity with God
- Our spirit, soul, and body must align with His truth
- Our words must agree with heaven’s testimony
To deny or misunderstand this unity weakens spiritual authority. But to embrace it brings:
- Power in prayer
- Clarity in identity
- Confidence in salvation

HYMN
Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty
Reginald Heber (1783–1826)
Early in the morning our song shall rise to thee.
Holy, holy, holy! merciful and mighty!
God in three Persons, blessed Trinity!
Casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea.
Cherubim and seraphim, falling down before thee,
Who was and is and evermore shall be.
Though the eye of sinful man thy glory may not see,
Only thou art holy; there is none beside thee,
Perfect in pow'r, in love, and purity.
All thy works shall praise thy name, in earth, and sky, and sea;
Holy, holy, holy! merciful and mighty!
God in three Persons, blessed Trinity.
