THE THREEFOLD WITNESS OF GOD: SPIRIT, WATER, AND BLOOD
KEY VERSE
“And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.” - 1 John 5:8 (KJV)
DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE
The mystery of divine confirmation is revealed in this powerful scripture. God does not leave His truth without witness. On earth, He established a threefold testimony, the Spirit, the water, and the blood, all pointing to Jesus Christ and the reality of salvation.
- The Spirit represents the Holy Spirit, who convicts, guides, and confirms truth in the believer’s heart.
- The Water signifies cleansing, baptism, and the Word that washes and renews.
- The Blood speaks of redemption through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
These three are not separate voices in conflict, they agree as one, forming an unshakable foundation of truth. This means our faith is not based on feelings or assumptions but on a divine system of confirmation.
The Spirit works within you, the Word (water) works upon you, and the Blood works for you. When these align, your life becomes a living testimony of God’s truth.

Would you o'er evil a victory win?
There's wonderful power in the blood.

There is power, power, wonder-working power
in the blood of the Lamb;
there is power, power, wonder-working power
in the precious blood of the Lamb.
