WE SHALL SEE HIM AS HE REALLY IS!

THE WORDS OF TRUTH DAILY DEVOTIONAL
Nov 12th, 2025

𝕋𝕀𝕋𝕃𝔼:
WE SHALL SEE HIM AS HE REALLY IS!

KEY VERSE

“Beloved, now we are the children of God, and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.”1 John 3:2 (NKJV)

DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE

This verse captures one of the most glorious promises in all of Scripture, the hope of believers in Christ.

The day is coming:

When faith will give way to sight,

When mortality will be swallowed up by immortality, and

When the redeemed shall behold the Lord Jesus face to face in His glory.

To “see Him as He really is” means to encounter Jesus not as through faith alone, but in unveiled majesty, the risen, glorified King who conquered death, hell, and the grave.

It is the ultimate revelation of our redemption, the final transformation into His likeness (2 Corinthians 3:18).

Right now, our vision is clouded by the limits of human flesh, sin, and the struggles of this fallen world.

But the moment we see Him, we will be changed completely, purified, perfected, and glorified.

Every tear will be wiped away,
Every pain forgotten, and
Every mystery made clear.

This hope should purify our hearts (1 John 3:3), strengthen our walk, and stir us to live each day with eternity in view.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THOSE WHO SHALL SEE HIM

  1. They Are Born Again – Only those made new in Christ will see His glory (John 3:3).
  2. They Walk in Holiness – Without holiness, no man shall see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).
  3. They Are Pure in Heart – The pure in heart shall see God (Matthew 5:8).
  4. They Endure Trials Faithfully – They shall receive the crown of life (James 1:12).
  5. They Love His Appearing – Those who long for His return will share His glory (2 Timothy 4:8).
  6. They Are Obedient to His Word – His sheep hear His voice and follow Him (John 10:27).
  7. They Are Washed in the Blood – Their garments are made white in the blood of the Lamb (Revelation 7:14).
  8. They Persevere in Faith – They overcome by the blood of the Lamb (Revelation 12:11).
  9. They Reflect His Image Daily – They are being transformed into His likeness (2 Corinthians 3:18).
  10. They Live in Hope of Eternity – Their citizenship is in heaven (Philippians 3:20-21).

ILLUSTRATIONS

1. The Dirty Mirror and the Clear Glass

A child once tried to see her reflection in a dusty mirror but only saw a blur.

When she wiped it clean, her face appeared clearly.

Lesson:

Sin and distraction blur our spiritual vision.

But as we let Christ cleanse our hearts, we begin to see Him more clearly, until that day when no veil remains.

2. The Long-Awaited Reunion

A soldier who had been away for years finally returned home.

His little son, who only saw pictures of his father, ran into his arms crying,

Daddy, I can finally see you for real!

Lesson:

Now we see Jesus through the Word and faith, but soon, we will behold Him face to face, our faith fulfilled and our joy complete.

CALL TO REPENTANCE

Beloved, if Christ were to appear today, would you be ready to see Him?

Is your heart pure, your robe white, your lamp burning with oil?

The time is short.

Repent of every secret sin, lukewarmness, and worldliness.

Prepare your heart to meet your Lord.

DEEP REPENTANCE

Say with sincerity:

Lord, I confess that I have lost sight of eternity.

I have lived for the temporary, forgetting that soon I will see You face to face.

Cleanse my heart, renew my hope, and restore my longing for Your coming.

PRAYER OF REPENTANCE

Heavenly Father,

I come before You in humility.

Forgive me for every sin that has dimmed my spiritual sight.

Wash me in the blood of Jesus.

Remove every veil of distraction, pride, and doubt.

Prepare me for the glorious day when I shall see You as You are.

Let my life reflect Your light until that perfect day.

In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

REFLECTION SCRIPTURES

HYMN

Face to Face with Christ, My Savior
Carrie E. Breck (1898)

1. Face to face with Christ, my Savior,
Face to face- what will it be
When with rapture I behold Him,
Jesus Christ Who died for me?

Chorus:

Face to face I shall behold Him,
Far beyond the starry sky;
Face to face in all his glory,
I shall see Him by and by.

2. Only faintly now I see Him
With the darkened veil between,
But a blessed day is coming
When His glory shall be seen.

3. What rejoicing in His presence,
When are banished grief and pain;
When the crooked ways are straightened
And the dark things shall be plain.

4. Face to face- oh, blissful moment!
Face to face- to see and know;
Face to face with my Redeemer,
Jesus Christ Who loves me so.

TODAY’S CHALLENGE

Spend time reflecting on eternity.

Ask yourself:

Am I living as one who expects to see Jesus soon?

Make peace with anyone you’ve offended, walk in holiness, and encourage another believer with the hope of His appearing.

DEEP REFLECTION

Heaven is not a fantasy, it is the believer’s home.

The world may mock our hope, but the day is coming when every eye shall see Him.

Let this hope shape how you live, how you love, and how you wait.

WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT

Though the road may be narrow and the trials many, do not lose heart.

The One you have believed in will not disappoint you.

Every tear you’ve cried, every sacrifice you’ve made for His name, all will be worth it when you see His face.

CLOSING DECLARATION

I am a child of God, washed and ready.

My eyes are set on eternity, and my heart beats with hope.

When He appears, I shall see Him as He is.

I will not be ashamed at His coming.

My robe is white, my lamp is burning, and my soul is anchored in His love.

I am watching and waiting for my King.

Amen!

  1. Father, thank You for the blessed hope of seeing You face to face, in the name of Jesus.
  2. Lord, purify my heart and prepare me for Your appearing, in the name of Jesus.
  3. Holy Spirit, keep my eyes fixed on eternity, in the name of Jesus.
  4. Father, help me to live in holiness and purity daily, in the name of Jesus.
  5. Lord, remove every distraction that weakens my love for You, in the name of Jesus.
  6. Father, strengthen my faith and endurance in this journey, in the name of Jesus.
  7. Lord, clothe me in the righteousness of Christ and keep my garments white, in the name of Jesus.
  8. Father, fill my heart with longing and joy for Your return, in the name of Jesus.
  9. Lord, help me to win souls so that many may behold Your glory too, in the name of Jesus.
  10. Father, when You appear in glory, count me worthy to stand among the redeemed, in the name of Jesus.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

I decree and declare that my eyes shall see the King in His beauty!

My faith shall not fail; my hope shall not fade.

I am being transformed daily into His image.

I walk in purity, power, and purpose.

When the trumpet sounds, I shall behold His glory.

I am heaven-bound, and I will see Jesus as He truly is, radiant, reigning, and eternal.

Amen!
