HE WHO DENIES THE FATHER AND THE SON

THE WORDS OF TRUTH DAILY DEVOTIONAL
Oct 15th, 2025

𝕋𝕀𝕋𝕃𝔼:
HE WHO DENIES THE FATHER AND THE SON

KEY VERSE

“Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.”1 John 2:22 (KJV)

DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE

To deny the Father and the Son is not merely to speak words of rejection, it is to live in contradiction to the truth of God’s revelation.

Denial can be verbal, moral, or spiritual.

Many deny Christ not by their lips but by their lifestyle, choices, and compromise with the world.

When someone rejects the divine authority of God the Father or refuses to honor Jesus as the Christ, the only begotten Son of God, they stand in rebellion against truth itself.

Such denial is the spirit of the antichrist: self-exaltation, rejection of divine lordship, and submission to worldly philosophies over the eternal Word of God.

True believers confess the Father and the Son openly and live as witnesses of His grace, truth, and power.

Jesus said:

Whoever denies Me before men, I also will deny before My Father who is in heaven (Matthew 10:33).

Thus, our confession and faith must be unwavering even in persecution, temptation, or trials.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THOSE WHO CONFESS THE FATHER AND THE SON

  1. They Walk in Truth – (3 John 1:4) They live in integrity and sincerity of faith.
  2. They Abide in Christ – (1 John 2:24) The Word and Spirit of Christ dwell in them continually.
  3. They Love Righteousness – (Hebrews 1:9) They reflect the nature of the Son through holiness.
  4. They Bear Fruit of the Spirit – (Galatians 5:22–23) Their lives produce evidence of divine transformation.
  5. They Confess Christ Boldly – (Romans 10:9–10) Their words and actions testify to the Lordship of Jesus.
  6. They Reject False Doctrines – (2 John 1:9–10) They guard their hearts against teachings that deny Christ.
  7. They Live in Fellowship with the Father – (John 14:23) Through obedience, they enjoy divine intimacy.

ILLUSTRATIONS

1. The Silent Witness

A young man was offered a lucrative job but was told to deny his faith during the oath-taking ceremony.

Fearful of losing the opportunity, he remained silent and later found that peace left his heart.

The wealth came, but the joy and conviction vanished.

Lesson: Silence in the face of truth is denial.

True faith stands firm even when it costs something.

2. The Loyal Servant

During the Roman persecution, an old Christian was commanded to curse the name of Jesus or face death.

With tears in his eyes, he replied, “Eighty and six years have I served Him, and He never did me any wrong; how then can I blaspheme my King who saved me?”

He was executed for his faith, but gained a crown of life.

Lesson: Those who stand for Christ before men will reign with Him forever.

CALL TO REPENTANCE

Have you ever denied the Lord in your words, actions, or silence?

Have you compromised your confession to fit in or avoid rejection?

The Father calls you back today.

Return to the truth.

Repent and boldly declare Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior once again.

DEEP REPENTANCE

Lord, I acknowledge that in moments of fear, doubt, or shame, I have denied Your truth.

I repent of every compromise, every silence, every action that denied Your Son before men.

Wash me in the blood of Jesus.

Restore my boldness and rekindle in me the fire to stand for You without fear or shame.

Amen.

PRAYER OF Repentance

Heavenly Father,

I confess my sins and repent of every way I have denied You or Your Son by my actions, silence, or unbelief.

Have mercy on me, Lord.

Cleanse me by the blood of Jesus.

Renew my faith, restore my voice, and make me a bold witness of Your truth.

From today, I declare openly that Jesus Christ is my Lord and my Savior.

Amen.

HYMN

Stand Up, Stand Up for Jesus
George Duffield Jr. (1858)

1. Stand up! stand up for Jesus, Ye soldiers of the Cross!
Lift high His royal banner; It must not suffer loss.
From vict’ry unto vict’ry His army shall He lead,
Till ev’ry foe is vanquished, And
Christ is Lord indeed.

2. Stand up! stand up for Jesus! The
trumpet call obey;
Forth to the mighty conflict. In this
His glorious day;
Ye that are men now serve Him
Against unnumbered foes;
Let courage rise with danger, And
strength to strength oppose.

3. Stand up! stand up for Jesus!
Stand in His strength alone;
The arm of flesh will fail you. Ye
dare not trust your own;
Put on the gospel armour, Each
piece put on with prayer;
Where duty calls, or danger, Be
never wanting there.

4. Stand up! stand up for Jesus! The
strife will not be long;
This day the noise of battle. The
next the victor’s song:
To Him that over cometh, A crown
of life shall be;
He with the King of glory Shall reign
eternally.

TODAY’S CHALLENGE

Share your faith boldly with at least one person today.

Don’t hide your identity as a believer.

Speak of Jesus with conviction and love, and let your light shine before men.

DEEP REFLECTION

To deny Christ is to lose life; to confess Him is to gain eternity.

Each day you live is a chance to either declare your loyalty or your indifference.

What side of eternity will your confession place you on?

CLOSING DECLARATION

I confess boldly that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God!

He is my Savior, my Redeemer, and my Lord.

I will not deny Him in my words, thoughts, or deeds.

I stand firm in the truth of the Father and the Son.

My faith will not fail, my confession will not waver, and my love for God will never die.

Amen.

PRAYER POINTS

  1. Father, thank You for revealing Yourself through Your Son, in the name of Jesus.
  2. Lord, forgive me for every time I denied You in my words or deeds, in the name of Jesus.
  3. Father, restore in me the boldness to confess Christ before men, in the name of Jesus.
  4. Lord, fill me with Your Spirit to stand firm in truth, in the name of Jesus.
  5. Father, silence every voice of fear and compromise in me, in the name of Jesus.
  6. Lord, grant me wisdom to discern and reject every false doctrine, in the name of Jesus.
  7. Father, strengthen me to live a life that honors both the Father and the Son, in the name of Jesus.
  8. Lord, make me a fearless witness of the Gospel wherever I go, in the name of Jesus.
  9. Father, may my life bring glory to Your name and testify of Jesus Christ, in the name of Jesus.
  10. Lord, help me to endure to the end, that I may receive the crown of life, in the name of Jesus.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

I decree that the Spirit of Truth fills my heart.

I will not deny my Savior.

Fear shall not silence me, and compromise shall not weaken me.

My confession of Christ will echo through my generation.

The Word of God shall dwell richly in me, and I shall stand blameless before the Father and the Son.

I am sealed, bold, and victorious.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

Amen!
