YOU ARE STRONG!

THE WORDS OF TRUTH DAILY DEVOTIONAL
Sep 29th, 2025

𝕋𝕀𝕋𝕃𝔼:
YOU
 ARE STRONG!

KEY VERSE

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”Philippians 4:13 (KJV)

DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE

Strength in the life of a believer is not measured by human muscles, possessions, or achievements, it is rooted in the power of God.

Many face battles, temptations, disappointments, and spiritual warfare daily.

In such moments, the enemy whispers:

~ You are weak, you will fail, you cannot overcome.

But God declares the opposite:

~ You are strong!

This strength does not come from self-reliance, but from the Spirit of God dwelling within.

The Bible says:

The joy of the LORD is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10).

To be strong is to depend fully on God, to trust His promises, and to keep standing in faith even when storms rage.

You are strong because:

CHARACTERISTICS OF GODLY STRENGTH

  1. Strength Through Grace – “Be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.” (2 Timothy 2:1)

  2. Strength Through the Word – “Your word has revived me.” (Psalm 119:50)

  3. Strength in Weakness – “When I am weak, then I am strong.” (2 Corinthians 12:10)

  4. Strength Through Joy – “The joy of the LORD is your strength.” (Nehemiah 8:10)

  5. Strength Through the Spirit – “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you.” (Acts 1:8)

  6. Strength Through Waiting on God – “Those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.” (Isaiah 40:31)

  7. Strength Through Prayer – “Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.” (Ephesians 6:10)

ILLUSTRATIONS

1. The Broken Bow Restored

A young boy broke his father’s bow while trying to shoot arrows.

Ashamed, he hid it.

His father found it, repaired it, and showed him that though broken, it could be made strong again.

Lesson: Even when life breaks you, God’s strength restores and makes you useful again.

2. The Palm Tree in the Storm

During a heavy storm, mighty oak trees were uprooted, but the palm trees bent low and sprang back upright after the storm.

Lesson: True strength is not in resisting but in enduring.

With God, you may bend but you will not break!

CALL TO REPENTANCE

Have you been leaning on your own strength, pride, or human wisdom?

Have you doubted God’s power in your weakness?

God calls you today to surrender fully, so His strength can perfect your weakness.

DEEP REPENTANCE

Lord, forgive me for relying on myself more than You.

Forgive my fears, doubts, pride, and unbelief.

I lay down my weaknesses, burdens, and failures before You.

Restore me by Your Spirit and clothe me with divine strength.

PRAYER OF REPENTANCE

Heavenly Father,

I confess that I have tried to fight battles in my own strength.

Today, I surrender my weakness to You.

Strengthen me with Your Spirit, restore my joy, and empower me to live victoriously.

I choose to depend on You alone.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

REFLECTION SCRIPTURES

  1. Isaiah 40:29 – “He gives power to the faint, and to them that have no might He increases strength.”

  2. Psalm 27:1 – “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life.”

  3. 2 Corinthians 12:9 – “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”

HYMN

A Mighty Fortress Is Our God
Martin Luther (1529)

1. A mighty fortress is our God,
A bulwark never failing;
Our helper He, amid the flood
Of mortal ills prevailing:
For still our ancient foe
Doth seek to work us woe;
His craft and power are great,
And, armed with cruel hate,
On earth is not his equal.

2. Did we in our own strength confide,
our striving would be losing,
were not the right Man on our side,
the Man of God's own choosing.
You ask who that may be?
Christ Jesus, it is he;
Lord Sabaoth his name,
from age to age the same;
and he must win the battle.

3. And though this world, with devils filled,
should threaten to undo us,
we will not fear, for God has willed
his truth to triumph through us.
The prince of darkness grim,
we tremble not for him;
his rage we can endure,
for lo! his doom is sure;
one little word shall fell him.

4. That Word above all earthly powers
no thanks to them abideth;
the Spirit and the gifts are ours
through him who with us sideth.
Let goods and kindred go,
this mortal life also;
the body they may kill:
God's truth abideth still;
his kingdom is forever!

TODAY’S CHALLENGE
