THE BROAD WAY!

THE WORDS OF TRUTH DAILY DEVOTIONAL

August 31st, 2025

𝕋𝕀𝕋𝕃𝔼:
THE
 BROAD WAY!

KEY VERSE

“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”Matthew 7:13-14 (KJV)

DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE

The “Broad way” is a spiritual picture of the world’s pathway, represents the path of least resistance, a life of compromise, rebellion against God, a life of ease and pleasure-seeking without submission to God.

It is attractive, crowded, filled with freedom without boundaries and appealing, yet it leads to destruction.

Unlike the narrow way that requires discipline, holiness, and obedience, the Broad way is characterized by self-gratification, pride, rebellion, and compromise with sin.

It is the path of “everyone is doing it” and “do what makes you happy” without accountability to God.

Many are drawn to the Broad way because it looks easy, but Jesus warns that its end is eternal separation from Him.

Jesus contrasts this with the “Narrow Way,” which seems difficult, disciplined, and unpopular, but it leads to eternal life.

Every believer is daily confronted with a choice to walk in:

The Broad way of the world or

The Narrow Way of Christ.

ILLUSTRATIONS

1. The Amusement Park Road

A group of friends set out for a destination:

One road was broad, beautifully decorated with lights, entertainment, and laughter.

The other was narrow, rugged, and unattractive.

Many chose the broad path because it was exciting, but it led them into a dead end filled with danger.

The few who took the narrow way, though challenged, reached safety and joy.

The Broad way appeals to the flesh but ends in destruction; the Narrow Way leads to life everlasting.

2. The Marketplace Choice

A man visited a marketplace with two stalls:

one with cheap, glittering products and another with genuine treasures that required patience and sacrifice.

The crowd rushed to the glittering stall, buying worthless goods. Only a few chose the costly treasures.

So is life: many are seduced by temporary pleasures of sin, while few embrace the eternal riches of Christ.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE BROAD WAY

  • Crowded - many walk there.
  • Easy - no discipline, no self-denial.
  • Pleasurable - appealing to the flesh.
  • Compromising - no boundaries, no holiness.
  • Deceptive - looks promising but ends in destruction.
  • Popular but perilous - Many follow it, yet it ends in eternal ruin.
  • Deceptively easy - It requires no discipline, just “go with the flow.”
  • Carnal pleasures - It feeds the flesh but starves the soul.
  • Self-centered living - Focused on “me, myself, and I.”
  • Rejection of God’s authority - Refusal to submit to His Word.
  • Temporary satisfaction, eternal loss - It promises much but delivers destruction.

CALL TO REPENTANCE

Beloved, are you walking on the Broad way without realizing it?

Are you living to please yourself instead of God?

The Broad way may look glamorous, but it leads to death.

Turn back to Jesus today, the Way, the Truth, and the Life, before it is too late.

PRAYER OF REPENTANCE

Heavenly Father,

I acknowledge that I have often been lured by the broad way of the world, seeking pleasure, ease, and compromise.

Forgive me, Lord, for choosing my way over Yours.

Wash me in the blood of Jesus, deliver me from every sinful path, and set my feet firmly on the Narrow Way that leads to life.

From today, I choose Christ above the world.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

REFLECTION SCRIPTURES

  • Proverbs 14:12 – There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
  • 1 John 2:15-17 – Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.
  • Romans 12:2 – And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
  • Psalm 1:1-2, 6 – Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night. For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the ungodly shall perish.
  • Galatians 5:24-25 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
  • Matthew 7:14 – Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
  • John 14:6 – I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.

POPULAR HYMN

There Is A Path That Leads To God

There is a path that leads to God, All others go astray - Jane Taylor

There is a path that leads to God,
All others go astray;
Narrow but pleasant is the road
And Christians love the way.

It leads straight through this world of
sin.
And dangers must be passed;
But those who boldly walk therein,
Will get to heaven at last.

Are you walking on the Broad way of compromise or the Narrow Way of Christ?

Take one practical step today to renounce a worldly habit and realign with God’s Word.

Which path are you truly on?

CLOSING DECLARATION

I renounce the Broad way and all its deceptions.

THE JUDGMENT DAY!

THE WORDS OF TRUTH DAILY DEVOTIONAL

August 30th, 2025

𝕋𝕀𝕋𝕃𝔼:
THE
 JUDGMENT DAY!

KEY VERSE

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.”2 Corinthians 5:10

DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE

The Judgment Day is not a myth; it is a divine certainty.

The Bible paints its characteristics vividly:

  • It will be universal (Romans 14:12 – “So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God”).

  • It will be final and decisive (Hebrews 9:27 – “It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment”).

  • It will be righteous (Psalm 9:7-8 – “He shall judge the world in righteousness”).

  • It will expose every secret (Ecclesiastes 12:14 – “God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing”).

  • It will separate the sheep from the goats (Matthew 25:31-34, 41).

On that day, no excuses, no bribes, no hiding. The Judge, Jesus Christ, will sit, and His Word will be the standard.

ILLUSTRATIONS

A student once skipped several classes and assignments, thinking he had time before the final exam. On the exam day, his ignorance and neglect were revealed, he was unprepared and failed.

So will it be on Judgment Day for those who neglect God’s Word, thinking there is still time.

A town had a corrupt judge who often let criminals go free. One day, a new righteous judge replaced him. Suddenly, criminals who once mocked the law trembled, for justice could no longer be delayed or bought.

Likewise, the Judge of all the earth will do right:

Genesis 18:25 - Far be it from You to do such a thing as this, to slay the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous should be as the wicked; far be it from You! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?”

Justice will finally prevail on Judgment Day.

CALL TO REPENTANCE

Are you living in readiness for that Day?

Or are you gambling with sin, hoping for tomorrow to repent?

Today is the day of salvation

2 Corinthians 6:2 - For He says: “In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

Don’t wait until the gavel falls.

PRAYER OF REPENTANCE

Lord Jesus,

I acknowledge that I am a sinner and that Judgment Day is certain.

Forgive me for every sin I have committed in secret and in open rebellion.

Wash me in Your blood and write my name in the Book of Life.

From today, I repent and turn from sin to righteousness.

Help me to live ready, awaiting Your return.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

REFLECTION SCRIPTURES

  • Ecclesiastes 12:14 – God shall bring every work into judgment.
  • Romans 14:12 – Everyone shall give account of himself to God.
  • Matthew 25:31-46 – “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. [32] All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. [33] And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. [34] Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: [35] for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; [36] I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’ [37] “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? [38] When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? [39] Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ [40] And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’ [41] “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: [42] for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; [43] I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’ [44] “Then they also will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’ [45] Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ [46] And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
  • Revelation 20:11-15 – Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. [12] And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. [13] The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. [14] Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. [15] And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.
  • Hebrews 9:27 – It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.

POPULAR HYMN

Where Shall I Be

When judgment day is drawing nigh - Bob Wallis & His Storeyville Jazzmen (1899)

When judgement day is drawing nigh,
Where shall I be?
When God the works of men shall try.
Where shall I be?
When east and west the fire shall roll,
Where shall I be?
How will it be with my poor soul?
Where shall I be?

Chorus:

O where shall I be when the first
trumpet sounds,
O where shall I be when it sounds so
loud?
When it sounds so loud as to wake
up the dead?
O where shall I be when it sounds?

TODAY’S CHALLENGE

Examine your life today.

Write down one hidden sin or area of compromise.

Confess it before God and ask for strength to forsake it.

Share the gospel with at least one person this week, remind them of the coming judgment and Christ’s salvation.

DEEP REFLECTION

If Christ returned today, what would be revealed about your heart, your priorities, and your secret life?

Would you stand confident, or shrink in shame?

Live every day as if it were your last chance to prepare for eternity.

CLOSING DECLARATION

I am redeemed by the blood of Jesus.

My sins are forgiven, and my name is written in the Book of Life.

I will live in holiness and readiness for the coming Judgment.

On that Day, I will stand with the righteous and hear:

WELL DONE, GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT.’

PRAYER POINTS

  1. Lord, prepare my heart daily for Your coming judgment, in the name of Jesus.
  2. Deliver me from hidden sins and secret compromises, in the name of Jesus.
  3. Help me to live holy, blameless, and faithful in all things, in the name of Jesus.
  4. Give me boldness to share the message of salvation with others, in the name of Jesus.
  5. On Judgment Day, let my portion be with the sheep at Your right hand, not with the goats, in the name of Jesus.

THE RAPTURE!

THE WORDS OF TRUTH DAILY DEVOTIONAL

August 29th, 2025

𝕋𝕀𝕋𝕃𝔼:
THE RAPTURE
!

Warning And Encouragement!
A wake-up call to holiness and urgency in our walk with Christ.

KEY VERSE

“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17

DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE

The rapture is the blessed hope of the church, a divine moment when Christ will gather His own and take them away to glory. It will happen suddenly, in the twinkling of an eye (1 Corinthians 15:52). No warning, no schedule, no second chances.

For those who are ready, it will be eternal joy and union with Christ. But for those left behind, it will be a time of unspeakable sorrow, confusion, and chaos. Families will be torn apart, nations thrown into panic, and the world plunged into spiritual and social turmoil.

The question today is:

ARE YOU READY?

ILLUSTRATIONS

Imagine a large international airport suddenly losing dozens of pilots and crew members mid-flight. Planes left without pilots would crash, passengers would panic, and global air travel would spiral into disaster.

This is just a glimpse of the confusion the world will face when believers are suddenly taken away at the rapture.

A young student once laughed off his father’s constant reminder:

Prepare for Jesus’ coming.

He lived carelessly until one day the trumpet sounded in a dream. He found himself left behind, surrounded by despair. He awoke trembling, realizing how dangerous it was to ignore the warning.

Sadly, in reality, there will be no waking up after the rapture, it will be final.

CALL TO REPENTANCE

The rapture will not wait for your convenience, your career, your marriage plans, or your repentance.

It can happen at any moment, even now.

If you have been living lukewarm, compromising, or doubting God’s Word, it is time to repent and make your salvation sure.

PRAYER OF REPENTANCE

Lord Jesus,

I acknowledge my sins before You.

I have lived in compromise and delay, thinking I had more time.

Forgive me for my pride, disobedience, and unbelief.

Today, I surrender my life fully to You.

Wash me in Your blood, write my name in the Book of Life, and prepare me for Your coming.

Help me to live daily in readiness.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

REFLECTION SCRIPTURES

  • Matthew 24:42 – Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
  • 1 Corinthians 15:52 – In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
  • 2 Peter 3:10 – But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
  • Luke 17:34–36 – I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. [35] Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left. [36] Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
  • Revelation 16:15 – Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

Oh, happy day! Happy day!

Today’s Challenge

Live today as if the rapture will happen tonight.

Remove any weight or sin that hinders your walk with God.

Speak to at least one person today about Christ’s coming and encourage them to prepare.

DEEP REFLECTION

If Jesus came back this moment, where would you be, caught up in glory, or left behind in chaos?

Remember:

Readiness is not in church attendance or titles, but in daily obedience and intimate fellowship with Christ.

CLOSING DECLARATION

I am a child of God, washed by the blood of Jesus.

THE SIGNS OF THE END TIMES!

THE WORDS OF TRUTH DAILY DEVOTIONAL

August 28th, 2025

𝕋𝕀𝕋𝕃𝔼:
THE SIGNS OF THE END TIMES!

KEY VERSE

“And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.”Matthew 24:6 (KJV)

DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE

The Bible is clear that this present world will not continue forever in its present form.

Jesus warned His disciples about signs that would mark the end times, wars, famines, earthquakes, pestilences, false prophets, an increase of wickedness, and the love of many growing cold (Matthew 24).

We are witnessing many of these today: moral decay, natural disasters, political unrest, pandemics, false teachings, and the rise of lawlessness.

These signs should not make us fearful, but should awaken us to live holy, watchful, and ready for the return of Christ.

The signs of the end times are not meant to scare us but to prepare us. God’s mercy gives us time to repent, align with His will, and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world.

ILLUSTRATIONS

A Farmer and Approaching Storm

A farmer sees clouds gathering, the wind shifting, and the sky darkening.

He knows these are signs of an approaching storm. He doesn’t ignore them, he prepares his barn, gathers his livestock, and secures his home.

Likewise, the signs of the end times are warnings from God, calling us to prepare our hearts and secure our souls in Christ.

The Last Train Of The Day

Imagine a train station where the announcement of the last train of the day is made.

Some passengers run quickly to board, while others delay, distracted by shops and conversations.

When the whistle blows and the train leaves, those unprepared are left behind.

The return of Jesus will be sudden.

The signs are the announcement; the question is:

Are you prepared to board?

CALL TO REPENTANCE

The signs of the end times are a loving call from God to repent and turn to Him.

If your life is not in alignment with Christ, today is the day of salvation.

Do not be left behind when the trumpet sounds.

PRAYER OF REPENTANCE

Heavenly Father,

I acknowledge that I have not always lived with eternity in mind.

I confess my sins and my complacency.

Forgive me, Lord, and cleanse me with the blood of Jesus.

I repent today and choose to walk in holiness, obedience, and readiness for Your return.

Write my name in the Book of Life and help me to live prepared, every day, until You come.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

REFLECTION SCRIPTURES

  • Matthew 24:12 – Because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
  • 2 Timothy 3:1-5 – [1] But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: [2] For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, [3] unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, [4] traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, [5] having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!
  • Luke 21:28 – When these things begin to come to pass, look up and lift up your heads, for your redemption draws near.
  • 1 Thessalonians 5:2 – The day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.
  • Revelation 22:12 – Behold, I come quickly, and my reward is with me.

POPULAR HYMN

Oh, happy day! Happy day!

TODAY’S CHALLENGE

Examine your life today.

Is there anything that would keep you unprepared if Jesus returned tonight?

Write it down, pray over it, and surrender it to God.

Share the gospel with at least one person this week, reminding them of eternity.

DEEP REFLECTION

The signs of the end times are not only about disasters and judgment, they are also about God’s mercy in warning us beforehand.

The question is not if Jesus is coming, but when.

If your life ended tonight, would you be ready to meet Him face to face?

CLOSING DECLARATION

I declare that I am watchful and prayerful.

My heart is set on eternity.

I will not be distracted by the world, but I will live holy, righteous, and ready for the return of my Lord Jesus Christ.

THE PERILOUS TIMES!

THE WORDS OF TRUTH DAILY DEVOTIONAL

August 27th, 2025

𝕋𝕀𝕋𝕃𝔼:
THE
 PERILOUS TIMES!

KEY VERSE

“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.”2 Timothy 3:1 (KJV)

DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE

We live in days the Bible clearly described as “perilous times.” Times of danger, deception, immorality, and distractions.

The word perilous means difficult, fierce, or grievous. It refers not only to outward challenges such as wars, pandemics, or instability but also to inward dangers: compromise, false teachings, coldness of heart, and the temptation to abandon faith.

We live in a world filled with uncertainty, wickedness, and moral decline.

The Bible forewarned us that the last days would be marked by deception, selfishness, pride, ungratefulness, and a denial of God’s truth.

These perilous times are not merely signs of trouble, they are signals that the coming of the Lord is near.

In such days, the greatest danger is not the outward trouble of wars, plagues, or famine, but the inward corruption of hearts that grow cold toward God.

To survive perilous times, believers must stay rooted in the Word, live by the Spirit, and hold fast to holiness.

Paul warned Timothy not to be surprised but to stand firm. These times call for discernment, holiness, steadfast prayer, and unwavering trust in God’s Word.

The perilous times should not frighten us but should draw us closer to God, who is our refuge and strength.

ILLUSTRATIONS

The Sailor And Compass

Imagine a ship caught in a violent storm.

While the winds roar and the waves rise high, the captain holds the compass tightly.

The compass does not stop the storm, but it ensures the ship stays on course.

So it is with the Word of God in perilous times, it is our compass.

Farmer Delaying Harvest

A farmer once delayed his harvest, saying, “I’ll reap tomorrow.”

But when tomorrow came, wild beasts had devoured the crops.

Delaying obedience in perilous times is like postponing the harvest, the enemy will take what you leave unguarded.

CALL TO REPENTANCE

Perilous times demand that we check our lives.

Are you living carelessly, distracted by the world, or compromising with sin?

This is the hour to repent and stand firm in Christ before it is too late.

PRAYER OF REPENTANCE

Heavenly Father,

I confess that I have sometimes lived carelessly in these perilous times.

Forgive me for lukewarmness, compromise, and distraction.

Wash me with the blood of Jesus.

Lord, help me to stand firm, to live holy, and to be ready for Your coming.

I surrender my heart completely to You today.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

REFLECTION SCRIPTURES

  • 2 Timothy 3:1-5 – Description of the last days.
  • Matthew 24:12-13 – The love of many will grow cold, but the one who endures will be saved.
  • 1 Peter 5:8 – Be sober, be vigilant; the devil is prowling.
  • Ephesians 6:13 – Put on the whole armor of God to withstand in the evil day.
  • Luke 21:36 – Watch and pray always, to escape what will come.

POPULAR HYMN

We Have an Anchor

Will your anchor hold in the storms of life - Priscilla J. Owens (1882)

Will your anchor hold in the storms of life,
when the clouds unfold their wings of strife?
When the strong tides lift, and the cables strain,
will your anchor drift, or firm remain?

Chorus:

We have an anchor that keeps the soul
steadfast and sure while the billows roll;
fastened to the Rock which cannot move,
grounded firm and deep in the Savior’s love.

TODAY’S CHALLENGE

Turn off distractions today (social media, unnecessary noise) for at least one hour.

Use that time to pray and read Scripture about the last days.

Ask God to prepare your heart for endurance and holiness.

DEEP REFLECTION

The perilous times are not meant to terrify the believer but to awaken us.

Are you spiritually asleep, or are you alert and ready?

When Christ returns, will He find you faithful or distracted?

Remember:

Readiness is not in what you profess but in how you live!

CLOSING DECLARATION

I am a child of God, preserved and strengthened for these perilous times.

I will not be shaken by fear or compromise.

My heart is steadfast, my faith is unmovable, and my hope is in Jesus Christ alone.

I am watchful, prayerful, and ready for His coming.

Amen.

PRAYER POINTS

  1. Lord, preserve me from deception in these perilous times, in the name of Jesus.
  2. Father, keep my heart burning with love for You, not cold with worldliness, in the name of Jesus.
  3. Lord, strengthen the Church to stand firm in holiness and truth, in the name of Jesus.
  4. Deliver me from every hidden compromise or weakness, in the name of Jesus.
  5. Prepare me daily for the coming of Christ, in the name of Jesus.

  7. Father, keep my heart from deception, compromise, and coldness, in the name of Jesus.
  8. Lord Jesus, fill me with boldness and endurance to stand firm till the end, in the name of Jesus.
  9. Father, let Your Word be my anchor in these times of shaking, in the name of Jesus.
  10. Lord, revive Your church in holiness and fire in these last days, in the name of Jesus.

THE MARRIAGE SUPPER OF THE LAMB!

THE WORDS OF TRUTH DAILY DEVOTIONAL

August 26th, 2025

𝕋𝕀𝕋𝕃𝔼:
THE
 MARRIAGE SUPPER OF THE LAMB!

KEY VERSE

“Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.”Revelation 19:7 (KJV)

DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE

The Marriage Supper of the Lamb is a divine picture of ultimate union between Christ (the Bridegroom) and His Church (the Bride).

It represents the final celebration when believers who have endured, kept the faith, and remained faithful will be united with Christ in glory.

This is not just a future event, it is also a present call to readiness.

Only those clothed in white garments of righteousness (Revelation 19:8) will sit at the table.

The question is:

Are you prepared for that glorious feast?

The King Royal Wedding Banquet

A king once invited his subjects to a royal wedding banquet. The tables were prepared, the feast was abundant, but many made excuses, one had a business deal, another was too busy with family, and another simply ignored the call. The king then invited the poor, the lame, and the outcasts, who joyfully came and filled the hall.

This mirrors Jesus’ parable (Matthew 22:1–14). Many reject God’s invitation, but those who humbly accept will dine at His eternal table.

Bride Preparation For Her Wedding Day

Imagine a bride preparing for her wedding day. She spends weeks choosing her dress, carefully ensuring every detail is perfect, longing for the moment when she will be joined to her beloved.

This is how the Church should prepare for Christ, adorning herself with holiness, purity, and love, awaiting the day when the trumpet sounds and the Bridegroom calls her home.

CALL TO REPENTANCE

Beloved, are you living ready for the Marriage Supper of the Lamb?

Or have worldly pleasures, pride, and sin distracted you from preparing your garment?

Today, repent and return to Christ.

The Bridegroom is coming soon!

PRAYER OF REPENTANCE

Lord Jesus,

I confess that I have not always lived in readiness for Your coming.

Forgive me for every sin, distraction, and compromise.

Wash me with Your precious blood and clothe me in Your righteousness.

I choose to live holy, vigilant, and faithful, waiting for the glorious day when I will dine with You at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.

In Your name I pray, Amen.

THE SECOND COMING OF JESUS CHRIST!

THE WORDS OF TRUTH DAILY DEVOTIONAL

August 25th, 2025

𝕋𝕀𝕋𝕃𝔼:
THE SECOND COMING OF JESUS CHRIST!

KEY VERSE

“Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”Matthew 24:44 (KJV)

DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE

The Second Coming of Jesus Christ is not a distant myth, but a divine certainty. The Scriptures declare that just as He ascended into heaven, “this same Jesus… shall so come in like manner as ye have seen Him go into heaven” (Acts 1:11).

Christ will not return as the suffering Lamb, but as the conquering King. For the righteous, His coming is the fulfillment of blessed hope; but for the unrepentant, it will be sudden destruction. This truth calls us to live in holiness, readiness, and constant expectation.

The reality of His return should shape our daily choices, influence how we treat others, and motivate us to win souls.

The question is not if He will come again, but are you ready when He comes?

The Teacher Surprise Test

A teacher once announced a surprise test would come “one day this week.” Every day the students anxiously prepared, not knowing when it would arrive.

When the teacher finally walked in on Wednesday with test papers, only the diligent students were ready.

So it is with Christ’s return. He will come suddenly.

The prepared will rejoice, but the careless will be caught off guard.

Farmer Waiting For Rain

A farmer, waiting for rain to water his fields, daily checked the skies with hope.

He knew the season of rain would surely come, though he could not determine the exact day.

His constant expectation shaped his preparation.

Likewise, we must till the soil of our hearts, live righteously, and remain ready for the great day of Christ’s appearing.

CALL TO REPENTANCE

The trumpet of heaven may sound at any moment.

Will you be found faithful or unprepared?

If there are hidden sins, worldly distractions, or lukewarmness in your heart, repent now!

Do not gamble with eternity, your salvation is today, not tomorrow.

PRAYER OF REPENTANCE

Lord Jesus,

I confess that I have not always lived in readiness for Your coming.

Forgive me for my sins, my pride, and my distractions with worldly things.

Wash me with Your blood, cleanse me, and make me ready for Your return.

I accept You as my Lord and Savior and choose to live holy until You come again.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  • Revelation 22:12“And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.
  • 2 Peter 3:10 – "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up."

MY REWARD IS WITH ME!

THE WORDS OF TRUTH DAILY DEVOTIONAL
August 24th, 2025

𝕋𝕀𝕋𝕃𝔼:
MY REWARD IS WITH ME!

KEY VERSE

“And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.”Revelation 22:12 (KJV)

DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE

The Christian walk is not in vain.

Every sacrifice, every tear shed in prayer, every step of faith, and every act of obedience is seen and recorded by God.

Jesus promises that when He returns, He will not come empty-handed, He will come with rewards for His faithful servants.

This reward is not only eternal life but also crowns of glory, joy, and righteousness for those who endure till the end.

Some may think their labor in the Lord is unnoticed, but God keeps a perfect record, and He is not unjust to forget your labor of love (Hebrews 6:10).

The question today is not

whether rewards exist,

they do, but

what REWARD will you receive?

The Marathon Runner

A marathon runner runs not just for the applause of the crowd but for the medal at the finish line.

No matter the pain in his legs or the sweat on his brow, his eyes remain fixed on the prize.

In the same way, we must run our spiritual race with endurance, keeping our eyes on Christ and the eternal reward He promises.

The Faithful Teacher

A school teacher may not receive instant recognition for years of patient teaching, but years later, when a student returns as a successful adult and says,

You changed my life,

The teacher’s reward shines through.

So it is with our Christian service.

The reward may not be immediate, but at the end of time, Christ Himself will honor the faithful.

The Diligent Student

A student spends years in diligent study.

Sometimes weary, sometimes unnoticed, but always pressing on.

Finally, graduation day comes, and the crown of his effort, a certificate of honor, is placed in his hand.

In the same way, our journey on earth may seem long and tiring, but there is a graduation day coming.

When Christ appears, He will place crowns of life, righteousness, and glory upon His faithful children.

CALL TO REPENTANCE

Many people live as though this world is their only reward.

Chasing money, fame, or temporary pleasures blinds them to eternal realities.

If your life has been consumed with earthly pursuits, turn back to God today.

Live with eternity in view.

PRAYER OF REPENTANCE

Lord Jesus,

I confess that I have sometimes pursued earthly rewards and neglected eternal treasures.

Forgive me for placing my hope in things that perish.

Today, I surrender afresh to You.

Help me to live faithfully, serving You with all my heart, so that when You return, I will receive a crown that will never fade.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

REFLECTION SCRIPTURES

  • 2 Timothy 4:8 – “Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.
  • Matthew 16:27 – “For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.”

  • Hebrews 11:6 – “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
  • Romans 2:6-7 – “who “will render to each one according to his deeds”: eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality;
  • Colossians 3:23-24 – "And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."

When We All Get to Heaven

(Sing the wondrous love of Jesus, Sing His mercy and His grace) - E. E. Hewitt (1898)

Sing the wondrous love of Jesus,
Sing His mercy and His grace;
In the mansions bright and blessed
He’ll prepare for us a place.

Chorus:

When we all get to heaven,
What a day of rejoicing that will be!
When we all see Jesus,
We’ll sing and shout the victory!

TODAY’S CHALLENGE

Examine your daily choices: are they motivated by temporary gain or eternal reward?

Choose today to do at least one act of service (help someone, share the gospel, or encourage a weary soul) that will count for eternity.

DEEP REFLECTION

If Jesus appeared today with His rewards, what would He place in your hands?

Would your life’s work pass the test of fire (1 Corinthians 3:13–15)?

Or would it be consumed as wood, hay, and stubble?

Remember:

Only what is done for Christ will last.

CLOSING DECLARATION

I live not for the rewards of men but for the reward of Christ.

My eyes are fixed on eternity, my heart is set on obedience, and my life is anchored in hope.

When my Lord comes, I shall not be ashamed, for my reward is with Him.

PRAYER POINTS

  1. Lord, help me to live daily with eternity in view, in the name of Jesus.
  2. Father, deliver me from every distraction and temptation that seeks to rob me of my eternal reward, in the name of Jesus.
  3. Holy Spirit, strengthen me to endure hardship and remain faithful, in the name of Jesus.
  4. Lord Jesus, prepare me for Your return, so I may receive my crown with joy, in the name of Jesus.
  5. Father, let my life bring You glory, both now and forever, in the name of Jesus.
  6. Lord, strengthen me to remain faithful until the end, in the name of Jesus.
  7. Teach me to labor in love, with eternity in view, in the name of Jesus.
  8. Father, prepare my heart daily for Your return, in the name of Jesus.
  9. Lord Jesus, may I not be ashamed at Your coming, but receive my crown with joy, in the name of Jesus.
