HE IN US!

“By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.” — 1 John 4:13
DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE
The greatest mystery of the Christian life is not what God does around us, but what He does within us. The moment we receive Christ, He does not merely improve our lives; He indwells us. The Almighty chooses our hearts as His temple. This truth changes everything.
God is not far from the believer. He is not watching from a distance nor speaking from afar. He is present, near, active, and alive within you. His Spirit strengthens your weakness, guides your paths, corrects your errors, comforts your pains, and empowers your destiny.
To say “He in us” means:
- You are never alone.
- You are never helpless.
- You are never without direction.
- You are never without hope.
His presence inside you is what transforms ordinary people into extraordinary vessels. It is His life in you that makes holiness possible, prayer powerful, vision clear, and destiny unstoppable.
When God lives in you, fear becomes powerless, darkness loses authority, and every limitation is replaced by divine capacity. The world around you may shake; but the One within you cannot be moved.
Let this truth rule your heart today:
He is in you… and because He is in you, victory is in you.

CHARACTERISTICS OF A BELIEVER WHO CARRIES GOD WITHIN
ILLUSTRATIONS
1. The Lamp and the Oil
A lamp without oil may look complete, but it cannot shine. Once oil fills it, the flame comes alive.
Lesson: We shine not because of ourselves but because He lives within us.
2. The Glove and the Hand
A glove has shape but no power. The moment a hand enters it, it can lift, build, and work.
Lesson: You may look ordinary, but with Christ in you, you can do what you never imagined.
CALL TO REPENTANCE
God desires to dwell in you, guide you, and transform you. But sin shuts the door of the heart against His presence. Today, open the door. Turn away from darkness. Choose the light. Let Him take His rightful place in your life.
DEEP REPENTANCE
Examine your heart. Surrender every hidden sin. Lay down every burden, distraction, and rebellion. Invite the Holy Spirit to cleanse, renew, and restore you deeply; from the inside out.
PRAYER OF REPENTANCE
I come before You with a sincere heart. Forgive me of all my sins. Cleanse me from every unrighteousness. Jesus, come into my life. Be my Lord and my Saviour. Dwell in me forever. Make me a vessel of Your glory.
Amen.

HYMN
Edwin Hatch (1878)
1. Breathe on me, Breath of God,
fill me with life anew,
that I may love the way you love,
and do what you would do.
2. Breathe on me, Breath of God,
until my heart is pure,
until my will is one with yours,
to do and to endure.
3. Breathe on me, Breath of God,
so shall I never die,
but live with you the perfect life
for all eternity.
