LOVE THAT PROVES OUR OBEDIENCE TO CHRIST

ANCHOR SCRIPTURE

KEY VERSE

"If ye love me, keep my commandments." - John 14:15

DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE

Love is one of the most powerful words in human language, yet the Bible reveals that true love is not merely a feeling, emotion, or expression of affection. God’s definition of love is demonstrated through obedience, sacrifice, faithfulness, and a lifestyle that honours Him.

The Apostle John teaches that "this is love"; meaning love has a clear evidence and identity. The evidence of genuine love for God is walking according to His commandments.

Many people claim to love God with their lips, but their choices reveal the condition of their hearts. Biblical love is not only demonstrated when things are convenient; it is proven through commitment, discipline, and obedience even when obedience requires sacrifice.

The love of God sent Jesus Christ to the cross for humanity. Therefore, our response to that love should not be casual Christianity but a life surrendered to God's will.

A person who truly loves God will desire His presence, respect His Word, forgive others, pursue holiness, and reject anything that separates them from Him.

Love without obedience becomes empty religion. Obedience without love becomes mere duty. But when love and obedience unite, a believer walks in the fullness of God's purpose.

BIBLICAL OBJECTIVES

  1. To understand that true love originates from God.

  2. To demonstrate love through obedience to God's Word.

  3. To develop a heart that values God's commandments.

  4. To reflect Christ’s character through daily actions.

  5. To reject selfish love and embrace sacrificial love.

  6. To strengthen our relationship with God through faithfulness.

  7. To love others as evidence of God's presence in us.

  8. To walk in holiness and spiritual maturity.

  9. To allow God's love to transform our decisions.

  10. To prepare our hearts for eternal fellowship with God.

ILLUSTRATIONS

1. THE BRIDGE OF LOVE

A man claimed he loved his friend, but whenever the friend needed help, he disappeared. Another person who had little resources constantly showed kindness and support.

The second person demonstrated love because love is measured by action, not words.

Lesson

God does not measure our love by our declarations but by our obedience and practical expressions of His character.

2. THE TREE AND ITS FRUIT

A tree does not struggle to prove it is alive; its fruit reveals its nature.

In the same way, a life connected to God produces the fruit of love, obedience, kindness, patience, and righteousness.

Lesson

The fruit of our lives reveals the reality of our relationship with God.

CALL TO REPENTANCE

Father, I come before You today acknowledging that there are areas where my love for You has not been demonstrated through obedience. Forgive me for every moment I have chosen my own ways above Your commandments. Turn my heart back to You and help me love You genuinely.

DEEP REPENTANCE

Lord Jesus, I repent for every act of disobedience, every careless word, every unforgiving attitude, every compromise, and every moment I have allowed worldly desires to become greater than my devotion to You.

I surrender my heart completely. Remove every coldness, spiritual weakness, and hidden rebellion within me. Restore my passion for Your Word and create in me a heart that delights in obeying You.

PRAYER OF REPENTANCE

Heavenly Father, I confess that I need Your mercy and transformation. Wash me clean through the blood of Jesus Christ. Restore my love for You. Let my life become a testimony of obedience, faithfulness, and genuine love.

I receive forgiveness and renewal today, in Jesus' name. Amen.

The hymn celebrates God's perfect love that transforms, restores, and prepares believers for eternal fellowship with Him.

Love divine, all loves excelling,
Joy of Heav'n to Earth come down,
Fix in us thy humble dwelling,
All thy faithful mercies crown;
Jesus, thou art all compassion,

TODAY’S CHALLENGE

Today, demonstrate God's love through one deliberate act of obedience:

  • Forgive someone.
  • Encourage someone.
  • Help someone in need.
  • Spend quality time in God's Word.
  • Obey a conviction the Holy Spirit has placed in your heart.

Let your love become visible.

DEEP REFLECTION

Ask yourself:

  • Does my lifestyle prove that I love God?
  • Are there commandments I obey only when convenient?
  • Has my love for God grown stronger or weaker?
  • Do people experience God's love through my actions?

WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT

You are called to live as a carrier of God's love. Your obedience is not a burden but a pathway into deeper fellowship with your Creator.

The love of God is powerful enough to heal your heart, renew your purpose, and transform your life.

Keep walking in His love. Your faithfulness matters.

ETERNITY IN VIEW

One day every earthly achievement will pass away, but the love we have demonstrated toward God and others will testify before eternity.

The greatest preparation for heaven is learning to love like Christ.

I prophesy over your life:
You will not lose your passion for God. Your heart shall remain connected to Christ. The love of God shall drive away fear, confusion, and spiritual weakness.

You shall walk in obedience, wisdom, favour, and divine purpose. Your life shall become a testimony of God's unfailing love, in Jesus' name. Amen.

WALKING IN THE LOVE THAT PROVES OUR ABIDING IN CHRIST

THE WORDS OF TRUTH

𝕋𝕀𝕋𝕃𝔼:
WALKING IN THE LOVE THAT PROVES OUR ABIDING IN CHRIST

ANCHOR SCRIPTURE

"And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another." - 2 John 1:5 (KJV)

KEY VERSE

"A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you… By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another." - John 13:34-35 (KJV)

DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE

The commandment to love one another is not a suggestion; it is a divine instruction that reveals the reality of our relationship with God. Apostle John reminded the believers that love was not a new teaching but a truth they received from the beginning.

True Christian love is not merely emotional affection, words, or temporary kindness. It is a reflection of Christ’s nature in us. The love of Christ is sacrificial, forgiving, patient, truthful, and obedient to God.

Many people desire spiritual gifts, power, blessings, and divine manifestations, but heaven measures our maturity by the quality of love we demonstrate. A person can speak spiritual language and still fail in love, but the person who walks in love carries the character of Christ.

Love does not mean accepting sin or compromising truth. Biblical love walks together with obedience. We love people by desiring their restoration, praying for them, forgiving them, serving them, and speaking truth with grace.

When love is absent, the heart becomes vulnerable to bitterness, hatred, jealousy, pride, and division. But when Christ’s love rules our hearts, families are healed, relationships are restored, churches become united, and our lives become testimonies of God’s presence.

BIBLICAL OBJECTIVES

  1. To reflect the character of Christ through genuine love.

  2. To obey God’s commandment of loving others.

  3. To remove bitterness, hatred, and unforgiveness from our hearts.

  4. To become examples of Christ’s compassion.

  5. To promote unity among believers.

  6. To forgive as Christ forgave us.

  7. To serve others with humility and kindness.

  8. To demonstrate love through actions, not words only.

  9. To restore broken relationships according to God’s will.

  10. To prepare our hearts for eternity where love reigns forever.

BIBLICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF TRUE LOVE

1. Love is Sacrificial

John 15:13
"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."
True love gives without selfish motives.

2. Love is Patient

1 Corinthians 13:4
Love waits, endures, and responds with grace.

3. Love is Kind

Ephesians 4:32
Love expresses goodness and compassion.

4. Love Forgives

Colossians 3:13
Love releases offences and chooses peace.

5. Love Walks in Truth

1 Corinthians 13:6
Love does not celebrate wrongdoing.

6. Love is Humble

Philippians 2:3-4
Love considers others above self.

7. Love Shows Mercy

Luke 6:36
Love reflects God’s compassion.

8. Love Does Not Envy

1 Corinthians 13:4
Love celebrates others’ blessings.

9. Love Produces Unity

Colossians 3:14
Love binds people together.

10. Love Overcomes Evil

Romans 12:21
Love responds to darkness with God’s goodness.

ILLUSTRATIONS

1. THE TWO CHRISTIANS AND THE BROKEN BRIDGE

Two believers were separated by misunderstanding and offence. Each waited for the other to apologise. Years passed, and the distance grew.

One day, one of them remembered Christ’s command to love and decided to cross the broken bridge of pride. He reached out in humility, forgiveness was exchanged, and the relationship was restored.

Lesson:

Love builds bridges where pride creates walls. Sometimes the first step toward restoration is an act of Christ-like humility.

2. THE TREE BESIDE THE RIVER

A tree planted beside a river does not struggle to produce fruit because it is constantly connected to its source.

A believer connected to Christ should naturally produce love, kindness, patience, and forgiveness.

Lesson:

The evidence of our connection to Christ is the fruit we produce.

CALL TO REPENTANCE

Dear Lord, I come before You acknowledging that I have not always walked in the love You commanded. I repent of every moment I have allowed anger, pride, bitterness, unforgiveness, jealousy, and resentment to control my heart.

I return to Your way of love. Create in me a heart that reflects Christ and helps others experience Your grace through my life.

DEEP REPENTANCE

Father, I repent for every time my words have wounded others instead of healing them. I repent for every hidden judgment, every unforgiving attitude, every action that has represented my flesh instead of Your Spirit.

Wash my heart from everything that is contrary to Your love. Remove every root of bitterness and replace it with compassion, mercy, and genuine love.

Let my life become a testimony that Christ truly lives in me.

PRAYER OF REPENTANCE

Lord Jesus, I surrender my heart to You. Forgive me for every failure to love as You commanded. Teach me to love beyond feelings, beyond convenience, and beyond personal expectations.

Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me demonstrate Your love daily. Let my relationships, words, and actions reveal Your presence.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

REFLECTION SCRIPTURES

HYMN

Blest Be the Tie That Binds
John Fawcett (1782)

Message:
The hymn teaches the unity, fellowship, and love that should exist among believers. It reminds us that Christian relationships are bound together by the love of Christ.

Blest be the tie that binds
our hearts in Christian love;
the fellowship of kindred minds
is like to that above.

TODAY’S CHALLENGE

Today, intentionally demonstrate Christ’s love by:

  • Forgiving someone who offended you.
  • Encouraging someone who is discouraged.
  • Praying for someone who needs help.
  • Showing kindness without expecting anything in return.
  • Choosing peace over conflict.

DEEP REFLECTION

Am I known more for my opinions or my love?

Does my behaviour reveal Christ to people around me?

Is there anyone I need to forgive?

WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT

Beloved, God has not called you only to receive His love but to become a vessel of His love. The world may know many voices, but it recognizes the heart that carries genuine compassion.

Your love can become someone’s evidence that God is still working.

Walk in love. Forgive freely. Serve humbly. Let Christ be seen through you.

ETERNITY IN VIEW

Heaven is a place where the love of God is complete and everlasting. Every act of love, kindness, forgiveness, and compassion reflects the kingdom we belong to.

Those who belong to Christ must allow eternity to shape their relationships today.

CLOSING DECLARATION

I declare that my heart is filled with the love of Christ. I will not walk in hatred, bitterness, or unforgiveness.

The love of God flows through my life. My words bring healing, my actions bring hope, and my relationships reflect Christ.

I am a carrier of God’s love, and through me others will encounter Jesus.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

PRAYER POINTS

  1. Father, fill my heart with genuine Christ-like love and remove every spirit of hatred, in the name of Jesus.

  2. Lord, heal every broken relationship in my life and restore peace according to Your will, in the name of Jesus.

  3. Father, destroy every root of bitterness and unforgiveness in my heart, in the name of Jesus.

  4. Lord, help me love people beyond my feelings and human limitations, in the name of Jesus.

  5. Father, make my life a testimony of Your compassion and mercy, in the name of Jesus.

  7. Father, let Your love bring unity and restoration into my family and relationships, in the name of Jesus.

  8. Lord, remove every attitude that prevents me from reflecting Christ, in the name of Jesus.

  9. Father, empower me by Your Spirit to live a life of love and obedience, in the name of Jesus.

  10. Lord, let my life reveal that I belong to Christ through the love I demonstrate, in the name of Jesus.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

I declare over your life:

You will not be controlled by bitterness, anger, or unforgiveness. The love of Christ will rule your heart. Every broken relationship ordained by God shall experience healing. You will carry grace, compassion, and wisdom.

People will see Christ through your life, and your home shall become a place of peace and love.

In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

WORDS OF TRUTH

“The greatest evidence that Christ lives in us is not only the power we demonstrate, but the love we release.”

“A heart filled with God cannot remain empty of love.”

“Love is not weakness; it is the strength of a life transformed by Christ.”

ABIDING IN THE ORIGINAL TRUTH OF CHRIST THROUGH LOVE AND OBEDIENCE

THE WORDS OF TRUTH
DAILY DEVOTIONAL
June 7th, 2026

𝕋𝕀𝕋𝕃𝔼:
ABIDING IN THE ORIGINAL TRUTH OF CHRIST THROUGH LOVE AND OBEDIENCE

ANCHOR SCRIPTURE

"And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another." - 2 John 1:5 (KJV)

KEY VERSE

"And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it." - 2 John 1:6 (KJV)

DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE

The apostle John reminded the believers that the truth they received was not a new invention, a changing philosophy, or a temporary teaching. It was “that which we had from the beginning.” This refers to the eternal truth of God revealed through Jesus Christ; the truth of salvation, love, holiness, obedience, and faithful living.

In a world where values change, opinions shift, and many voices compete for attention, God calls His children to remain rooted in the original foundation of His Word. The beginning represents the pure message before compromise, before human traditions, and before deception entered.

John connects truth with love because genuine love is not separated from obedience. Love is not merely words, emotions, or feelings; it is demonstrated by walking according to God's commandments.

A believer who truly carries the truth of Christ will:

  • Love as Christ loved.
  • Obey God's Word.
  • Reject deception.
  • Remain faithful despite pressure.
  • Preserve the purity of the gospel.

The enemy often attempts to introduce a “new version” of truth; one that removes repentance, weakens holiness, and replaces obedience with convenience. But God's truth remains unchanged.

The call today is to return to the foundation:
the truth we heard from the beginning.

BIBLICAL OBJECTIVES

1. To preserve the original truth of God's Word

"Buy the truth, and sell it not." — Proverbs 23:23

2. To walk in genuine Christian love

"By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another." — John 13:35

3. To obey God's commandments faithfully

"If ye love me, keep my commandments." — John 14:15

4. To reject false teachings and deception

"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God." — 1 John 4:1

5. To remain established in Christ

"Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith." — Colossians 2:7

6. To live a life that reflects truth

"Speaking the truth in love..." — Ephesians 4:15

7. To maintain spiritual purity

"Keep thyself pure." — 1 Timothy 5:22

8. To continue in the faith without compromise

"Continue ye in the faith grounded and settled." — Colossians 1:23

9. To become a witness of Christ

"Ye shall be witnesses unto me." — Acts 1:8

10. To prepare for eternity

"Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life." — Revelation 2:10

CHARACTERISTICS OF THOSE WHO ABIDE IN THE TRUTH

1. They walk in love

They express Christ-like compassion.

2. They obey God's Word

Their lifestyle confirms their faith.

3. They remain humble

They do not replace God's wisdom with human pride.

4. They are spiritually discerning

They test every teaching against Scripture.

5. They are consistent

Their faith is not controlled by circumstances.

6. They hate sin but love people

They represent God's heart.

7. They value holiness

They desire a life pleasing to God.

8. They are faithful in trials

They remain committed when tested.

9. They forgive quickly

They demonstrate Christ's love.

10. They pursue eternal things

Their focus is beyond earthly achievements.

ILLUSTRATIONS

1. THE ORIGINAL BLUEPRINT

A builder who ignores the original architectural blueprint may construct a beautiful building that eventually develops serious problems. The appearance may look impressive, but the foundation is faulty.

Lesson:

Christianity without the original truth of Christ may appear religious but lacks spiritual strength. We must always return to God's blueprint; His Word.

2. THE PURE WATER SOURCE

A stream may begin as pure water from its source, but as it travels, contamination can enter if it is not protected.

Lesson:

The truth of God must be guarded. Human opinions, traditions, and compromises can pollute what God originally gave.

CALL TO REPENTANCE

Dear Lord, I come before You acknowledging every area where I have moved away from Your original truth. Forgive me for every compromise, every disobedience, and every time I valued human approval above Your Word. Restore my heart to love You sincerely and walk in Your ways.

DEEP REPENTANCE

Father, I repent for allowing distractions, worldly influences, and personal desires to weaken my commitment to Your truth.

I repent for every moment I heard Your instruction but chose my own path.

I repent for every form of spiritual pride that made me think I could follow You without complete obedience.

Cleanse my heart and renew my spirit. Bring me back to the foundation of Your Word.

PRAYER OF REPENTANCE

Heavenly Father,

I surrender myself completely to You today.

Remove every false foundation in my life. Restore my hunger for Your Word. Let my love become genuine, my obedience become complete, and my heart remain faithful to the truth I received from the beginning.

In Jesus' name, Amen.

Henri F. Hemy (1818–1888)

Message:

The hymn calls believers to remain faithful to the truth passed down through generations and never abandon the foundation of faith.

Faith of our fathers, living still
In spite of dungeon, fire and sword,
O how our hearts beat high with joy
Whene’er we hear that glorious word!
Faith of our fathers! holy faith!
We will be true to thee till death!

TODAY'S CHALLENGE

  1. Read God's Word before seeking human opinions.
  2. Identify one area where you have compromised.
  3. Return to obedience.

  5. Stand firmly for biblical truth.

DEEP REFLECTION

Am I still walking in the truth I received from Christ?

Have I allowed the world to redefine my faith?

Is my love proven through obedience?

WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT

Beloved, God has not changed. His truth remains the same yesterday, today, and forever.

You may face pressure to compromise, but grace is available to remain faithful.

The truth that brought you this far will sustain you until the end.

Hold on. Continue walking with Christ.

ETERNITY IN VIEW

One day, every earthly opinion will pass away, but God's truth will stand forever.

The question before eternity is not:

“What did the world accept?”

But:

“Did I remain faithful to Christ?”

Only those who abide in Him will receive eternal life.

CLOSING DECLARATION

I declare that I am established in the truth of Christ.
I will not be moved by deception.
My heart will walk in love and obedience.
The Word of God is my foundation.
I will finish my journey faithfully and receive my eternal reward.

In Jesus' name, Amen.

WALKING IN THE TRUTH THROUGH LOVE AND OBEDIENCE - Pt 2

THE WORDS OF TRUTH
DAILY DEVOTIONAL

𝕋𝕀𝕋𝕃𝔼:
WALKING IN THE TRUTH THROUGH LOVE AND OBEDIENCE - Pt 2

KEY VERSE

"And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another." - 2 John 1:5 (KJV)

ANCHOR SCRIPTURE

"And this is love, that we walk after His commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it." - 2 John 1:6

DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE

The Apostle John wrote to remind believers that the foundation of Christian living is not based on a new philosophy, human tradition, or changing standards, but on the eternal truth of God that was given from the beginning.

The commandment to love is not new, but it is a commandment that must continually be renewed in our hearts and demonstrated through our actions. True love is not merely emotional affection or spoken words; it is expressed through obedience, sacrifice, forgiveness, humility, and faithfulness to God's Word.

Many people desire the blessings of God but neglect the pathway that releases those blessings; walking in truth and love. Truth without love can become harshness, while love without truth can become compromise. God calls us to carry both: a heart full of love and a life governed by His truth.

Walking in truth means living a life that agrees with God's Word even when it is inconvenient. Walking in love means treating others with the same mercy, patience, and grace that God has shown us.

FACTS

1. Truth Must Become a Lifestyle

Truth is not only something we know; it is something we practice.

A believer who knows Scripture but refuses obedience is only carrying information, not transformation.

John 8:31-32 teaches that continuing in Christ's Word leads to freedom.

Truth produces:

  • Integrity
  • Spiritual stability
  • Godly decisions
  • Victory over deception

2. Love Is the Evidence of Spiritual Growth

Jesus said:

John 13:35

"By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another."

Love is the visible evidence that Christ is working inside us.

A person may speak in tongues, give offerings, or perform religious activities, but without love, the character of Christ is incomplete.

3. Obedience Is the Expression of Love

Love for God is proven by obedience.

John 14:15

"If ye love me, keep my commandments."

Obedience is not punishment; it is a response of gratitude to the One who loved us first.

BIBLICAL OBJECTIVES

  1. To walk daily according to God's truth.

  2. To develop Christ-like love toward others.

  3. To obey God's commandments willingly.

  4. To reject deception and false teachings.

  5. To represent Christ through our character.

  6. To forgive as Christ forgave us.

  7. To build relationships based on godly love.

  8. To remain faithful to God's Word.

  9. To demonstrate spiritual maturity.

  10. To prepare our lives for eternity with God.

BIBLICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF WALKING IN TRUTH AND LOVE

1. Humility

Philippians 2:3

"Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves."

2. Forgiveness

ILLUSTRATIONS

1. THE COMPASS AND THE MAP

A traveller with a map but no compass may know the destination but can easily lose direction. Another traveller with a compass but no map may know direction but lack the complete journey.

The Word of God is our map, and the Holy Spirit guides us like a compass.

LESSON:

Knowledge without obedience is incomplete. We need truth and the Spirit's guidance to walk correctly.

2. THE BRIDGE OF LOVE

A bridge connects two places separated by a gap. Without the bridge, people cannot cross.

Love is the bridge that connects believers with one another. Truth provides the foundation that keeps the bridge standing.

LESSON:

Love without truth collapses, and truth without love fails to connect hearts.

CALL TO REPENTANCE

Dear Lord, I come before You acknowledging every area where I have failed to walk in truth and love. Forgive me for moments when my words, actions, attitudes, or decisions have not reflected Your character.

I surrender my pride, unforgiveness, disobedience, and every habit that has taken me away from Your perfect will.

DEEP REPENTANCE

Father, search my heart and reveal every hidden place that does not represent Christ.

Forgive me for:

  • Knowing Your Word but failing to obey it.
  • Receiving Your love but refusing to extend it.
  • Holding bitterness instead of forgiveness.
  • Choosing my ways above Your commands.

Create in me a clean heart and renew a faithful spirit within me.

PRAYER OF REPENTANCE

Heavenly Father,

I repent sincerely before You. Wash me from every unrighteousness and restore my fellowship with You.
Teach me to love as Christ loves, forgive as Christ forgives, and walk in truth every day.
Let my life become a testimony of Your grace.

In Jesus' name, Amen.

O Master, Let Me Walk With Thee
Washington Gladden (1879)

Theme:
A prayer for a life that follows Christ in humility, obedience, and love.

O Master, let me walk with thee
In lowly paths of service free;
Tell me thy secret; help me bear
The strain of toil, the fret of care.

TODAY'S CHALLENGE

Today, intentionally demonstrate Christ-like love to someone who may not expect it.

Choose:

  • Forgiveness instead of offence.
  • Kindness instead of criticism.
  • Truth instead of compromise.

Am I only speaking about God's truth, or am I living it?

Does my attitude reveal Christ's love?

Is my obedience motivated by fear, or by genuine love for God?

WALKING IN THE TRUTH THROUGH LOVE AND OBEDIENCE - Pt 1

ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:

"And now I plead with you, dear lady, not as though I were writing you a new commandment, but the one we have had from the beginning: that we love one another." — 2 John 1:5

INTRODUCTION

John’s words reveal the heart of a spiritual father who does not command with pride but appeals with love. The Christian walk is not merely about knowing the truth but allowing the truth to produce love, humility, obedience, and Christ-like character.

DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE

The phrase “and now I plead with you” carries a deep spiritual meaning. It is not a harsh demand but a loving appeal from one who understands the danger of drifting away from God’s truth.

The Apostle John wrote to believers who had received the truth of Christ. His concern was that their faith would not become only words but a lifestyle. He reminded them that the greatest evidence of walking in truth is love expressed through obedience to God’s commandments.

Truth without love can become cold religion.
Love without truth can become human compromise.
But when truth and love walk together, they reveal the character of Christ.

God is still pleading with His children today:

  • Return to sincere devotion.
  • Walk away from compromise.
  • Love as Christ loves.
  • Obey His Word completely.
  • Let your life become a testimony of truth.

The world does not only need Christians who speak truth; it needs believers whose lives demonstrate the transforming power of truth.

ILLUSTRATIONS

1. The Loving Father’s Warning

A father saw his child walking toward a dangerous path. He did not shout from anger; he ran with concern and said, “My child, please come back.”

The child understood that the father’s warning was not rejection but protection.

Lesson:

God’s correction is an expression of His love. His pleadings are invitations back into safety.

2. The Broken Compass

A traveler ignored his compass because he believed he knew the way. After hours of walking, he discovered he had moved in the wrong direction.

Lesson:

The Word of God is our spiritual compass. Ignoring truth leads to spiritual confusion.

CALL TO REPENTANCE

Dear Father, I come before You acknowledging that there are areas where I have not fully walked in Your truth. Forgive me for moments when I have chosen my own ways above Your commandments.

I return to You today. I surrender my heart, my thoughts, my decisions, and my actions. Teach me to love as Christ loves and obey Your Word completely.

HYMN

Take My Life, and Let It Be
Frances Ridley Havergal (1874)

Message:
A prayer of complete surrender, asking God to take every part of our lives and use it for His glory.

Take my life and let it be
consecrated, Lord, to thee.
Take my moments and my days;
let them flow in endless praise,
let them flow in endless praise.

  • Identify one area where you need greater obedience.
  • Show genuine love to someone.
  • Spend time studying God’s Word.

Am I only carrying the name of Christ, or am I truly living according to His truth?

Does my love demonstrate that I belong to Jesus?

What is God pleading with me to surrender today?

WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT

God’s pleading is not a sign of rejection; it is evidence of His desire for deeper fellowship with you.

The same God who calls you to truth also gives you grace to walk in it.

Your obedience today can become tomorrow’s testimony.
